Okay, I'm admitting defeat. I took a bunch of pictures of my friend. Wearing a very white shirt. So it's the classic very white against darker skin and a darker background and whatever I do, it's still much too much white. I can't find any tool in the box to tone it down. I can bring it down a bit, but it's not enough.

I've been diddling with these all week and I can't believe I'm being defeated by a white shirt. I'm posting a few in 72 dpi. I use PS badly. I need to take a course or something. Well, I'm a whiz with Framemaker. Just not Photoshop.

How tall are you? This makes a difference. I am 6ft. 3in. I received a pretty nice tripod for Christmas that is pretty stable until one cranks up the center post all the way. Then it becomes pretty unstable. In other words, too short for me. I have been eyeballing a pretty sweet tripod at Wolf Camera that, without being cranked up, sets at right around 6 ft. with its' legs fully extended. The center section comes out and can be used as a mono pod. And, it is pretty lightweight. It sells for $79.00. I would have bought it but remember, I received that gift and I need to use it awhile. LOL.



I do not care if you have a point and shoot or a video camera, you want a stable platform from which to shoot. You don't have to spend a ton of money either. Just look around.
