Specially for Tilde, my mentor in chief!

Heres some of my cloud collections. Most people dont appreciate their beauty, but no one else evr saw exactly the same formation and I saw the for a few seconds and their gone forever.

Not doctored at all, straight out of the camera!

One thing about Florida is that we have really pretty cloud patterns especially at dusk, and dawn. I've noticed some really beautiful clouds being rim lit around dusk and it just takes my breath away.
In the fall we have an especially beautiful deep blue sky, with those big fluffy cumulus clouds that are starkly white for great tonal contrast.
I also love the beautiful scarlet colors of the sky and clouds with tinges of red/orange, yellow at sunset. However my favorite is to imagine animal shapes from the ever changing cloud patterns. KEEP ON SHOOTING ! 8-)

*snickers @ "Your mentor in chief"*

Gracious... ment-EE perhaps (is that even a word!? lol)
I'd even settle for being your "muse"... in fact, would be an honor!
But definitely not a mentor... not yet anyway *snickers*
Maybe when you're done with me, I'll have learned enough to mentor someone else! ;)

These are all fantastic... as always, Ian... but some of them... absolutely take my breath away!
I can't imagine how amazing they were in person if they're THIS spectacular in photos!

The shot in the windshield reflection looks like the shape of the top half of England, my home port. Can you photograph one that like like Salisbury, Maryland.

All these pictures give the truth to the old saying "every cloud has a silver lining"

Ian

Moving out in 5 mins to drive back from Daytona to Arkansas. We had 3 bikers killed in 2 days here and 12 in hospital in serious condition.
Say your prayers for them.

You shouldn't be Ian. I love your clouds...there is no denying God's existence in His creations. Thanks for your compliment... I am in awe of the clouds, sunrises and sunsets here in Nebraska. I never saw this much beauty on a daily basis until I moved to Nebraska from smoggy California. There's something to be said about living in a small-town in the MidWest! Yeeha!

How sad, no clouds, they are so beautiful, I didn't realize your area was so cloudless. I am always looking at the awesome cloud formation. We have one gentleman in our camera club that is referred to as the cloud man as he has the best cloud shots in the club.

Perhaps we should start a cloud bank (pun not intended). I have had to add clouds to photos to change that dull, unreal, empty space called clear sky.

As a child I would watch Cloud-a-vision. The clouds were so artistic, doing dogs, cars, balls and many other shapes to entertain me in the long country hours. On cloudless days, there were ants and ant wars and kicked ant mounds to watch them rebuild. ... live and watched the ocean and clouds in Mar del Plata Argentina, great memories of nature.
