I think what you're doing is just great. And don't let the nabobs of cynicism and negativity get you down. At age 7 my father told me that in every crowd there is at least ONE sob! I have yet to find the exception to that.

Thank you very much Jim for your thorough explanation. I got the Fuji xh1 about 4 months ago and am extremely pleased with it. With their combination of excellent lenses and the sensor the image quality rivals anything I have ever used. My other cameras are Pentax and own several old FA* lenses which rival their more modern lenses in IQ.
As soon as I finish matters here in South Carolina, my wife and I are going to live full-time in our motorhome and I will come back to Utah. I had my training in orthopedic surgery at the U and traveled considerably in the southern part of the state. Perhaps I can someday come by and visit you.

I have the Fuji 60 mm macro, which with the crop feature is effectively a 90 mm. It provides exceptionally sharp Images and is less costly than the 80 mm.
