Perhaps he agrees on all points and for the same reasons; if so, what else is there to say?

I believe the image is clean and clear and captures quite well the sense of motherhood that exists across almost all of nature's creatures. The focus is tack sharp, especially given that there are two subjects. As to the composition...I like it from left to right, but wonder if it might be improved by losing a bit of the headroom...

I did agree for all the same reasons (I am a She)

Last summer my 15 year old granddaughter asked me what my favorite photograph is and I showed her Steve McCurry’s “Afghan Girl” which was on the cover of the 125th National Geography anniversary issue. Unknowingly to me she took the magazine home and as a surprise she painted the image for me as a birthday present. Maybe I am biased but for a 15 year old I think she did a great job, what do you think? Btw. She put it on her face book and got over 400 hits the first day. I am proud of her.

What a fantastic painting, and fantastic birthday present to get. you are right to be very proud of her.

It may be a face only a mother can love, but the image of the fiercly protective mother and her new chick captivated me.

A few shots of the new stag horn fern growth here in San Diego, CA. The new growth kinda looks like little hands reaching out.

My husband and I went to the Salton Sea to see if we could find some Burrowing Owls. I was told they came out early in the morning and at dusk. We had a three hour drive so we left at 4 AM. We didn't see anything in the morning but they started coming out of their dens in the afternoon. We saw a couple of dozen or more owls. This squirrel kept trying to get in the owls den. It was funny to watch. We didn't get home until after 9PM. What a fun day! Try the download if possible.
