"Afghan Girl" Painted by my grandaughter.

Last summer my 15 year old granddaughter asked me what my favorite photograph is and I showed her Steve McCurrys Afghan Girl which was on the cover of the 125th National Geography anniversary issue. Unknowingly to me she took the magazine home and as a surprise she painted the image for me as a birthday present. Maybe I am biased but for a 15 year old I think she did a great job, what do you think? Btw. She put it on her face book and got over 400 hits the first day. I am proud of her.

Awesome, I hope she tours the Rhode Island School of Design in a year or 2. She's talented enough to be accepted.

Mike as an artist myself, your granddaughter has so much talent, she is an artist. Now she needs to paint from photos that either she takes or from some of yours . Please tell her " Wonderful job on the painting." Nice present for grandpa

Sorry you are biased, that drawing is not great it is FANTASTIC. She is only 15? My God she is dead on.

Thank you so very much, she is just in her first year in high school she has to finish her education first before thinking of anything else.
