I'm opting out of this discussion before another rant.

I own 12 full frame Nikon lenses; two Nikon DX lenses-that are seldom used.
I use four of the full frame lenses for 80% of what I shoot.
I do not have the best possible lenses for all that I shoot--there are newer versions of the 24-70 2.8, and the 70-200 2.8.
A new lens would probably not affect #2.

While all have purpose, I have bought lenses on occasion, in part, because I can afford them now, and could not afford them when I was younger. We only live once, and new lenses are always tempting.
I will probably buy more.

What a sensible answer. Thanks.
(As my financial situation has improved, I've been "able" to buy more equipment-its been a luxury I've enjoyed making use of-what's more, my family loves it)

1) Too many (for too many formats).

2) 2: 24-70 2.8 ED; 70-200 2.8 FL ED VR (thank goodness!) 100%

3) Maybe not, but they seem fine.

4) Not going to worry about it now.

5) These 2 are enough!

How 'bout the M series Leicas? Mine work great but film processing is a challenge, not to speak of acquisition.

The recent Patagonia Catalog had a spread on Coyote Buttes, AZ. Just what you need, another destination and one that requires permits and walking...
But, the photos of the landscape were truly amazing (worth a look, even if you can't make it to the site!)

Thank you very much. For me, up to now, I've only used Lightroom. But, since I can now see better the possibilities, I'll sign up for Photo Shop.

Thanks again,

Welcome! (I was new here not too long ago).

Its good fun and informative, most of the time (just ignore the nonsensical...).

My first camera of any consequence was an F2 a couple of years later ('73). I bought it and a 70-200mm for a trip to Nova Scotia and promptly dropped it 20 feet on the rocks.
After I climbed down to retrieve it, it worked perfectly-probably still does (although its been replaced a few times over years).

I like the second one better also, but both are very nice! We only have ruby ones here in MD but many at my back deck feeders.

Very nice! A really good reflection is a rarity.

A great way to start with this group.

I'm headed to Arches in September, Cany143.

If its not improper or inappropriate in some way, would you care to pass her name along? Or a website?

Thanks for considering my request, but, please if you think its inappropriate feel free to say so. (I hope I'm not crossing some unperceived line by asking.)
