Having said that, just so there is no
possibility of misunderstanding,
imho there have been leaders of the USA that deserve admiration and respect.

However, even though many have the popular misconception that the Crown is just a figure head;
in 1975 the Crown fired the then Prime Minister of Australia, and appointed the leader of
the opposing Liberal Party, Malcom Frazer as "caretaker" Prime Minister... long story short, because of
an untenable situation.
The Crown also declared that an Australia wide general election
for Prime Minister take place soonest.
Malcom Frazer won the election by a landslide.

The action by the Crown was both pragmatic and brilliant.

The population of the "Commonwealth" countries is over 2 billion souls... and Queen Elizabeth,
during her impeccable reign of over 70 years, has earned the admiration, respect, and love of most of those subjects.

Apart from that, more than 700,000 trained Commonwealth soldiers, alive today, have signed the
"Bloody Oath"... ie. if the Queen says jump, they jump, and don't come down until Ma'am says so.

Despite that profound power, Queen Elizabeth has proved herself a Ruler of epic and outstanding virtue.

I present the above examples to demonstrate that the Crown
is far far more than a "figure head".

Her son Prince Phillip has had the greatest mentor a man can have, so no doubt he and his children
will follow in HRHs footsteps.
It is universally accurate in as much as "et ... (show quote)

Her husband was Prince Phillip, her oldest son and heir apparent is Prince Charles. I agree with everything else.

I have pictures that I know were taken in 1966, the year I was married. I have no idea what the camera was or how I got it, I do remember that it took flashcubes. The first camera that I can recall was a Canon AE-1 which I bought new from Simpson Sears, probably around 1978. From that to a Canon T90, an Elan E, 20D, 40D, Sony DSC-W830 and Canon 5D Mk III. I still have those cameras except for the T90 with I traded on the Elan, probably the one I should have kept.

In the 60s one of my cars was a 1958 Oldsmobile 98 with the J2 option ( 3, 2 barrel carburators) that I lent to my dad as he was getting his car fixed. He said he had to turn the car off at the gas station when filling it, to gain on it!

In the 1st picture of the Avanti, it is stated that 1964 was the last year for Studebaker, not true. Studebakers (Larks)were made in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where I happen to live now until March of 1966.

A measurement tool, with hard cut outs for the units.
Unknown what the circular measures would be good for

The circular measures were probably used to measure diameters of bolts, tubing, etc. Maybe used in a factory that produced various products to enable staff to check specs on the line.

We also had to have our cat, Molly, put down in 2020. We said never go through that again, however in November 2021 we got a rescue cat from the shelter. We are so happy that we did. Missy our new 3 year old is half the cat that Molly was. Literally, 7 lbs. vs 15 lbs.

When my Microsoft 5000 mouse acts up I just switch the wireless dongle/transponder to another USB port. No need to shut down the computer. Seems to fix any problem. I did buy another Microsoft 5000 keyboard and mouse as I believe the first one just wore out. I'm guessing it was about 8 or 10 years old.

I live less than 1/2 mile from Mount Hope Airport, it actually has the name of a politician i don't care to share. It is also the home of the Warbirds museum which has 1 of only 2 operation Lancaster Bombers which is powered by 4 Rolls Royce Merlin engines. Quite noisy but I love to hear it. The airport started as a WWII training facility so has been there quite some time. It is heavily used as a mostly cargo facility but there are some passenger flights. UPS just built a giant warehouse there so expect more flights. There is adjacent, like right beside, farm land that developers want to build thousands of homes on. Can't wait until the people living in these homes complain of the noise. I find that I am not bothered by it, could be I have grown accustomed to it or the fact that I wear 2 hearing aids. My wife has excellent hearing ability and she never complains about it. Kinda like moving next door to a farm and complaining about the smell. That's my rant for today.

Where would one go now to even get the coal to feed one of these. We had a coal fired potbelly stove in our one room school house which was eventually replaced with a oil fired space heater. In the winter the farmer next door, who was also the school custodian would come early and get the coal stove going so there would be some heat. The rows closest to the stove were hot and those farthest away, not so much, but they were also the oldest and biggest students.
