Oh, I remember when oil went over $100 a barrel before. It may get a lot worse this time because the current retail price was even higher than the last time it happened. You know how it is, every year things cost more and sometimes the portions get smaller to boot. This go-round the forces of war and inflation have combined to F everything up. Next time, who can say when it’ll happen or what the cause, but it will not really be a surprise. Years ago, when I began to seriously plan my retirement, I figured that I would need at least four times my initial estimate of savings to keep me going till I was 100. Even now, I still worry about whether there’s enough.
Tomorrow morning, early, I'm going to the store and buy a bike. One that I can haul some groceries home with and take my wife for a ride.
Didn’t Canadian gas used to be by Imperial gallon or roughly 5 liters per gallon or am I wrong? It has been 46 years since ai was in Canada.
