Go to BH photo.com, then type in Vello shutter release 6D, purchase it and plug in the 3’ cable into the left side of the camera and have fun.
Love the ones on the post or stick ... but thought they all are terrific. Thanks for sharing
Kathleen, the camera is not the total solution to your requirement. Making sure your camera is centered is very important. Making sure the light source is not creating any reflections and is giving even lighting is another important task.
There is a reason professional photographers charge an appropriate amount for this type of photography. Have fun and good luck.
I will have to agree with Phillip’s tours. Our guide really understood what photographers were looking for ... and succeeded.
Terrific and I love your innovative lighting solution. You can always cover a section of your ringlight with tissue or surgical tape to cut down the intensity of light on a portion of the subject.
Good question. I use the Freewave by Pearstone purchased from B&H and have never had a problem. I use this on a Canon D60, 80D, 7DmkII, 5DmkIII and a 1DX. I have also had the Promaster trigger that didn't work on anything.
8 sounds like “great” so it must be good. Actually, the sharpest aperture (f/stop) of any lens, film or digital, is 2 to 3 stops from wide open which puts f/8 right in line for getting the best images.
If your Arca-Swiss Head is adequate then you’ll love the sidekick. I use one when traveling. I use mine with a 150-600mm and a 500mm f/4 and have never been disappointed. I use my sidekick on a RRS BH-55 head. Oh yes, I must tell you I also have a full Wimberly Gimbal that I use often but not when traveling. Have fun.
Terrific captures Doc. The are so much fun to see & photograph at I give Dragonfly / Damselfly tours at our Botanic Garden.
I own and use the 80D as well as the 16-300 Tamron. You would be a happy camper upgrading to either or both of the items. Like you, no negative issues.
I agree with the 18-55 kit lens but would say no on the UV filter and positive on a lens hood. It not only shades the optics from the sun but it protects the lens from bumps and the like.
Thanks UTMike. Love doing a stop over in your neck of the country. Normally hit Farmington Bay, Antelope Island and Bear River.
