Great capture! How far away were you from him to get this? Patience pays off.

Will,
I was shooting with an EOS 1DX Mark II (full frame) and a Canon 100-400mm at 330MM (I try to keep this lens at max 360mm) so it was a good distance. Did not know how good it was until I downloaded. Brooks Falls (Run by National Park Service) has a platform well above the Falls. Hope that helps.
Well worth the wait, a superb shot!
Expression on the fish looks like "What did I do???" Very nice capture.
All good things come to he who waits!
Perfect timing to get a fantastic shot of the Grizzly Bear. One fish is never enough for those creatures. Your photo could have been a front cover for an outdoors, sports type magazine.

Thank you for the kind comments.
FYI... I just learned this...It is a Brown Bear not a Grizzly, they are of the exact species. However the Grizzly is much lighter in color and lives more inland feasting on caribou etc., while the brown bear is larger and gorges on salmon. Since they are of same species sometimes you see one with mixed colors.
Fantastic shot in download!
