Get yourself some soft ½" copper tubing and bend around the outside of a 5 gallon plastic bucket. Using a tubing bending spring, make a cylindrical coil with input and exit on the top of the bucket. With a tubing flare kit, flare ends and modify to accecpt 3/4" garden hose thread FxM. Place in the 5 gallon bucket, connect female end to water supply, male end to wherever you need the water. Fill bucket with ice, flow water. You've created a condenser.

home beer brewers have used these "chillers" for some time to cool the wort after boiling before adding yeast. You can check a brewers supply store to buy one if you don't want to build your own.

Raw Therapee is an excellent processer.

I agree, I have used it for the past several years for my Nikon and Olympus RAW files.

Captain bob brown : I accepted your challenge on the green blob challenge and did in fact google it as you suggested. My research found that most were experiencing the issue “green blob” as coming from direct contact with sunlight. One guy even held his camera up to the sun for the experience! At any rate...it’s a fixable solution.
I have owned Olympus 4/3 since the OMD-EM-5 days...no problems here with the “green blob” you call it. But of course I treat my camera as I do my eyes...don’t look directly into the sun!
Your comment is misleading.....
Captain bob brown : I accepted your challenge on t... (show quote)

Also no issues with a "green blob" with my Olympus EM1 Mark ll.

I have pretty much the setup you described with an EM1 Mark ll and it is a fantastic camera, I shoot birds in flight regularly with no issues. I sent you a PM with some info and photos.

I'm brand new to shooting thru a telescope and would welcome any ideas. Thanks Bryan

Get an adapter for your camera to whatever size the eye piece is on your telescope. I have one for Nikon to a 10 inch Zhumell reflector.

no they won't, the camera meters the light differently and will produce different results.

use the fastest sync speed you have and set the plash to 1/8 or 1/16 power in manual mode. the lower the power the faster the flash speed, 1/8 or 1/16 will be in the 1/10,000 range or more. you can shoot single shots but can shoot them pretty fast because the recharge time is very short at that power. hope this helps.

Also you might try shooting shorter exposures to cut down on noise and star travel and stack them to get your final image. Starstax is a great free program to do that, also fantastic for star trails.

These were shot with the Olympus OMD EM 1 Mark ll, and the 12-100 F/4 pro lens, I can't imagine any bird that can travel over 300 feet per second. Mirroless can do the job if you use the right technique.

Have a look at the Lumix FZ1000. A fine example of a bridge camera.
I own this camera and really, really like it when I want control similar to a DSLR, but want to carry something smaller, lighter and a do-it-all lens.

I have an FZ 1000 also, I like to use it for pano's and 4K video. It's a great camera.

Yes, I have a back button assigned to focus on my EM1 Mark ll, works the same as it does on my D 750.

Cool shots.
After dithering about buying a MIOPS, these shots made up my mind.
I am going to buy everything they have.

I have a Nero trigger but didn't use it for these shots, I will use it when we try the 45 caliber bullet shot.

Pretty amazing and very well executed! Now to catch a bullet in flight...

funny you should say that Alafoto, that is our next project. We are going to use a 45 caliber, that are hand loads to try to stay around 850-900 feet per second. I need a really bright day so I can run the iso up to around 4000 and hope to shoot at 1/16,000 second in pro capture mode.

about midnight in east Kentucky the fog moved in so I gave up. I did get to see one really bright one early, about 11PM, but no photos. Hope others had better luck.
