I went through something similar last year with a Fed Ex delivery from Dell. You can call the Fed Ex customer service. You will speak to a foreigner who will give you the runaround. In my case it was two weeks of “driver came but no one was home” BS. Finally via escalation to Dell 3 times, got the order cancelled and a refund. If I find an order is shipping via Fed Ex now, I’ll cancel it. Never have a problem with UPS.

You say you're not a Pittsburgh address
but don't say what degree not Pittsburgh.

Mt Lebanon ? Detroit ? LA ? Point is, if BH
shipped to someplace not at all related to
you, as spec'd in your order, then they've
never shipped your order TO YOU ... and
they will acknowledge that, and make it
right without needing to deal with FedEx
at all.

But you hafta get thru to the right party
at BH. And you hafta be very clear about
details. Some of their customer service
people seem to have worked harder at
eliminating their non-USA accent but not
very hard at actually UNDERSTANDING
everyday US english.

Typical example is when they classify my
return as "Reason: Misc" ... which means
I pay return shipping. Then I hafta call
them and point out that the thing doesn't
work and so it's "Reason:Defective" which
means THEY pay return shipping. At that
point they then send me a new shipping
label of the PREPAID variety.

I've always had great service from B&H. I can't say the same for UPS, FedEx or USPS. Deliver my stuff to the wrong address, deliver stuff to me that isn't mine, sneak up and leave item on prorch without knocking or ringing bell.

It is the same all over, you can't get good help anymore.

I didn't Google it, I was trying to find it on their tracking web site (where I found out it had been "refused")

You must not have tried very hard to find FedEx's number. A simple Google search of "FedEx" yielded their customer service number: 1 (800) 463-3339.

Fed Ex uses contract drivers in remote areas (like mine). They sometimes get scumbags. I had one report he couldn’t deliver due to weather. It was 70 degrees and sunny. He just didn’t want to use the gas to drive out my way for one package.

But when I called FedEx they got right on it and had it delivered.

I have never had any sort of problems with B&H.

In defense of USPS and UPS, we often ship hundreds of packages a week from the farm - fresh fruit, no less. There are very, very rarely any problems at all.

Finally decided to buy a new D750 from B&H, ordered on Thursday evening, was shipped in two packages was supposed to be delivered Monday, it wasn't.

The delivery day is not "supposed to be", but "estimated". Read the fine print!
Weather, traffic, truck availability - any number of things can postpone delivery.
I find a little patience makes life much more enjoyable.

I also bought a D750 from B&H just recently along with the free Ruggard shoulder bag, Watson battery, and Sandisk SD card. The D750 had to be signed for. I wasn't going to be home so I had it sent to a FedEx facility. I went there, signed for it, and got my camera. They will not deliver it if no one is home to sign for the package. The battery was shipped directly to my house (no signature needed for that).

Are you sure that a signature was not required for your D750 shipment?

I guess your right , this was my first experience with B&H, from what I had read about B&H's customer service, I expected a little more than "there is nothing I can do"

Well, B&H can't find where the package might be, (FEDEX might not be able to either). I had a package go to four different states before it got to me. Stuff happens.
B&H can contact FedEx or you can contact FedEx. No middleman if you contact them and there are direction/location questions involved. (Have no idea where you are located.)
(We don't know what the "there is nothing I can do" response was in relation to either.)

To FedEx, B&H is the customer.

Tomorrow call B&H and ask for Henry Posner. He is their ultimate problem solver, and a good guy.

I sent three packages the same day, at the same time, from the same post office.
They were going to the same place.
Two arrived on the "expected delivery day", the third took another week.
Go figure...

Tracking says one package containing the spare battery was delivered, it WASN'T. (at least not to me) Tracking also says the other package was refused. It wasn't by me. Furthermore, tracking says it was refused in Pittsburgh, my address is NOT Pittsburgh
I called B&H and they say they can do nothing until it gets back to them, IF it gets back to them. I cannot find a number for FedEx
B&H also says they will refund my card when the camera gets back to them, but what about the package they say is delivered, I know of no way I can prove I did not receive it.
I also reviewed my order on B&H,s web site and the address IS correct
Finally decided to buy a new D750 from B&H, or... (show quote)

Amazon has a check-out option for delivery to an Amazon 'locker'. The lockers are typically at 7/11's; Whole Foods; etc. You get an email with a key code as soon as the delivery guy puts the package in the locker.
Not much help to you now, but something to keep in mind if you find delivery to your home unreliable. Also great if you don't want your better half to know what you have been spending your money on!!!
