Fedex don’t do that. Has to be delivered to an FFL.

Firearms are NOT shipped that way. Ever! Firearms are shipped to a licensed, Federal Firearms store where the guns is picked up after showing ID. Fake News tries to stir people up. Fake UHH posts also.

B&H is a reputable store, and I don't think you can put any blame actually on them except for their choice of carriers. FedEx took a bit longer to delivery something than expected. B&H always gives their buyers a tracking number for the shipment(s). You should have been able to find out about it. I think everyone involved - including yourself - carries a bit of the responsibility.

When you order from B&H again, have the package shipped to some business instead of to a residence, and make sure a signature is required.

The man who called me about re-ordering said it was B&H's mistake, they suspected fraud. I asked him what caused that, and all he said was, it "looked suspicious"
I am ok with that, but I think they should have called, or E-mailed me about the situation, or put a note on the order so that when I called about it the person I talked to could have let me know, or given me a name & number to call instead of telling me "there is nothing I can do until we have the order back"
I also think Fed-Ex could have noted that the order had been returned by the shipper.
My reason for posting was that neither of the two packages, shipped by two different methods (one overnight, and one regular ground) made it to me, both were returned. This is what made suspicious

It already has been, there are legal ways one can ship a firearm through shipping companies. It also depends on what type of rifle, if out for repair to a gunsmith or manufacturer can be shipped. With the exception of a few states air rifles/pistols can be bought and shipped online. Black powder rifles and pistols can be bought and shipped directly to the buyer. The post office will not accept pistols for shipment to anywhere but will accept rifles. Pistols have to be shipped overnite only.

Everybody has a bad day. UPS was supposed to ship an Amazon order 2nd day express. They shipped the sub properly but put the speakers on a truck going from Colorado to Georgia. They finally made it to Delaware yesterday, five days late, and I won't see them until Monday.

I think I will survive.

Companies that suspect fraud need to tread carefully. If there actually is a problem, they don't want to "tip their hand" too soon. I still maintain that nothing should be posted publicly until their bureaucracy has had time to do their thing, even if it requires patience.

added: Three times I can think of, a store has suspected me of shoplifting. They stopped me at the register, or {even worse} in the parking lot, and went through my pockets. One of these times it was a Radio Shack and I had a rangefinder camera that made a suspicious bulge in my pocket. I was not happy - I stopped going to each store for a period of time - but I did not write a "Letter to the Editor" of the local newspaper.

FEDX is a bummer on delivery. I have seen a truck leave my home with the back door open.

I just saw a YouTube video by Tony and Chelsea Northrup about a purchasing fraud that they just went through and apparently it is pretty rampant in general with more then just photo retailers. They buy and test equipment all of the time for testing and whatever. Once they are done they resell the equipment online and that's where they got stuck holding the bag. After seeing this I can see that places like B&H have to be careful . If you have a chance see if you can find the video and watch . It's not about photography but still a very interesting topic.

actually, I received a firearm that way, but I had to sign for it. It was being returned from the manufacturer for repairs made to it. Sending it to the manufacturer was actually harder than getting it back.

Bull Puck pure and simple now that is fake news. It is perfectly legal to ship ANY personally owned firearm back to a manufacture for repairs or refinishing. After work is complete the manufacture then ships back to you DIRECTLY no FFL dealer required. If object is a pistol it has to go overnite, rifles can be shipped ground. And this is not fake new it's a fact jack. The above applies also if you want a gunsmith not a manufacture to repair or modify your rifle or pistol same regulations apply, however the the gunsmith does have to hold an FFL license.

I love B&H! I recommend them every chance I get. However recently my merchandise has been delivered by Fedex and it has been a nightmare! My main computer I use for processing died so naturally I ordered from B&H a very nice Apple computer. So far so good! Now the nightmare begins! Fedex delivered it on time but it was damaged. Once again B&H customer service was awesome. Paid my shipping charges to return the damaged computer and replaced it with a brand new same model Apple computer! They shipped it expedited delivery, it was supposed to arrive before 12:00 pm the next day! Unfortunately, they chose Fedex next day delivery again, so sad to say Fedex has no idea where it is now as it has been lost on the way to Nashville. They said it could be several days before it might arrive if they can find it. I have spent a lot of money with B&H through the years and will continue to do so.
Please get Fedex under control!!! or make a change!

It is because of all of the good recommendations on UHH that I decided to order from B&H in the first place, and to re-order when the rep called.
When the rep said that it was their mistake and asked if I still wanted the order, I said yes, and then the rep said that I owed $89.00. When I asked what for, he said that the money for the square trade warranty had been refunded and he told me that he would send me an E-mail so that I could pay for it. I then checked my PayPal account, and the money had NOT been refunded, three days later the money still had not been refunded.
I finally received the camera, but not the spare battery, and CPL I ordered with it. After another E-mail to B&H Henry sent me an E-mail stating that these items were not included in the re-order, and that he asked a customer service manager to look into it. He also gave me a no. for the refund In the end there was no refund, but I checked on Square Trades web and it seems that the warranty is valid , so I m Ok with that for now.
I know that mistakes happen some times, but there were a lot of mistakes on this one order (my first from B&H) and I am a little "gun-shy" about another order from them
