I own an 80D. Easy to use. Articulating screen. Great on video. Wish it had two slots for memory. I think yours does. I had no help deciding except for the internet searches and such.
Love my 77d after affinity for iPad finally has it in their database. Everything I could want.
I just had couple hors session with my 77D. I know it now by heart, at least most of it. What a fun factor when you have the right equipment for shooting. I was taking pictures for the brochure for my company. Almost every shoot is a keeper.

I've had my 77D for about 14 months. It is good in low light like recreational and old Middle School GYms, dusk dawn. The DIGIC 8 does the noise reduction well. It weighs the same as a SONY a6000--for comparison. It is 11 oz (just under 3/4th of a POUND) lighter than the 80D. This is my 4th EOS Body, I would be lost without my top screen. The 24 MP gives me cropping room if I can't get close or want to use faster but shorter FL lenses. I'd buy it again.

Good to hear you're happy with the 77D, Craig … and that the Digic 7 CPU handles noise well. (Only the M50 and the more recent R - sport the Digic 8.)
11oz? … are you sure about that? … Have you actually weighed it? … It may be just under a pound, but - 11oz? …
Anyway - good to hear it's perfect, for you …
Craig - this is from the Wiki page for the 77D - turns out it's just OVER a pound … here:
131 × 100 × 76 mm (5.16 × 3.94 × 2.99″) (W × H × D)
Weight
493 g (17.4 oz) (body only)

Pat - the 77D only has one slot, like your 80D. Plus, the 77D does stabilized video, which your 80D doesn't!

Similar stats (from Wiki) for the 80D -
Dimensions
139 mm × 105.2 mm × 78.5 mm (5.47 in × 4.14 in × 3.09 in) (W × H × D)
Weight
650 g (23 oz) (body only)
Difference in weight - between the 77D and the 80D - is just short of 6 oz. !!!!
To my surprise (however I was wondering, since there is nothing about it in the Manual) my Canon 77D does not support RT Wireless flash transmission only optical. I just confirm it by being Canon Speelite 430 EX III RT and calling Canon about it. en you are in the camera menu you have two options for wireless flash, one of them is the optical, so I was sure the second choice was RT. I had Yongnuo 600RT and I could not get it to work. Canon at that time told me that they do not provide any information for none Canon flashes, so I just thought that my Yongnuo flash was at fault. No buggy, I already purchased a Yongnuo RT Transmitter, this should take care of it once for all. Just little information for all Canon 77D enthusiast you need transmitter in order to use true RT Wireless flash. This actually goes for most Canon cameras, including 80D.
I just spend three hours at work with my 77D, who is working with gear like this? HA HA. Seriously, I love my camera. My next challenge is two wireless RT flashes and a RT Trigger and off course my 77D. I got to wait few days for trigger. If I'm lucky I will get it before Xmas.

It's a helluva camera, isn't it, J? … It doesn't get much better than this - does it?
All the latest tech, and in a DSLR - smaller than all other APS-Cs out there!!!
All I can tell you that my boss loves my work. Anything I'm doing, whatever it is a printer brochure or Website pictures, I get no complaints, I do realize that they are far better and more expensive cameras. I just think that Canon 77D delivers enough quality for most of the work. JUst plug it a nice glass, preferably Image Stabilized prime lens. And you good to go. All I know that once I press my 77D's trigger something good is about to happened. It makes me very happy. I wish I could play instrument or paint but I can't. My camera is my expression and passion. On top of it I'm a geek loving all the newest gear. Jack.

Well - glad you're happy with it, Jack! … What's your fave EOS IS Prime glass to use with your EOS 77D, may I ask?
My newest baby, Tamron 45mm 1.8 Vibration Control. I got black Friday Special and it was like almost half off. I'm proud of this lens.
