Thanks, Angela and very glad that you liked, and hope that you guys have a great weekend and remember to take good care of that new camera and also thanks for the three thumbs!
Corky, you know I'll guard that camera with my life!! Going out tomorrow with a photo buddy, just hoping the weather cooperates!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
We always look forward to these beautiful little birds returning in the spring, at the beginning of the nesting season. The male is almost always singing and as we work with the flowers in the back yard the sound seems to be very close and it's almost like he is following you! So you peer into the trees, but sometimes it takes quite a while to locate him as he jumps from branch to branch on the leaf- covered limbs. I am including four images, the first two taken on a very old bald cypress tree and the last two on the remains of a gum tree stump which is directly beside the cypress tree.

Spectacular capture of the pretty warbler, Corky! 🐤
Love the download of the last shot with his beak open in sing mode. I have never had the pleasure of seeing one except in photos. Beautiful bird!
So did I cameranut and wish that you could have heard the beautiful sounds coming from that little beak! They like to nest fairly close to water and we always are anticipating their return in the Spring. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment!

Many thanks for the kind words, little bird, and the very generous four thumbs, Annie! As I'm sure you are aware they are great little birds and we always look forward to them returning each Spring! We purchased a new house for them this year and equipped it with a raccoon proof baffle and a smaller sized entrance hole, but doubt if they will use it. Take care! Corky
What beautiful shots, Corky! And each one is different! I never saw a bird other than the nuthatch run down a tree trunk head first! lol
Thanks for the kind words Sue and hope you guys are enjoying your new home. They are very beautiful little birds that don't seem to be very disturbed by our presence, but can be very difficult to spot because they may be hidden by the leaves while singing or searching for food! Take care and again thanks, and always great to hear from you guys!
