I agree with a lot of what you have to say, quote "Another type I don't understand is when a poster asks a question and somebody replies, I don't have any clue as to how to answer your question because I don't own that computer, camera or whatever." And thank you, that is my point, when you post something that has no value to photography, why post it, and, following this line of reasoning, why post when you get a camera, lens, whatever, what value does that have to me as a photographer, now if he had posted photo's he had taken with the D500, stated new and interesting information I could use about the camera, that would be good. But what value is there in posting topics like, 'the brown truck came today" or my favorite, "the brown truck came today to my house, I am at work and I can't work because the brown truck came to my house and all I can think about now is what the brown truck brought me, o boy." How cares. I want info I can use, you share that in a post, good for you. Lets have more of that and less brown truck reporting.

Bill, I really hate to keep going on with this. My point was, and still is, I see many things on UHH every day that I don't like. Somebody posts a photo of a bird on a feeder and he bird is barely in focus or we are looking at the back of the bird's head. I could write in being contrary and tell the person that their photo is our of focus and there is no composition etc. but WHY? Often I see bad photos on UHH and others post, Great capture, Wonderful photo, One of your best, and so on. I may think the photo sucks but why should I say anything derogatory. Many of the people here are just learning, many are elderly and to them an out of focus of the moon is quite the accomplishment. For you and me, taking a photo of the moon might be old hat or taking a photo of a bird in flight might be fairly easy but for others who are really into birding it might be pretty tough. So for them to get a nice picture of a bird in flight and post it here is an accomplishment for them. Do you see what I mean? The post, no matter how inconsequential for us is important to THEM. So I say nothing and click on the next post. There is no requirement for any of us to post something, especially a negative post.
