It never ceases to amaze me that some people make statements then fail to support them with facts. You rest your case? You never made your case. You lose! BTW I am not a rep or dem, I hate them all. Term limits is the only answer.

It would be fair to say that those with a conservative bent would say the same about never watching MSNBC. Same rationale. As far as honesty goes, the jury is still out on that IMHO. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Rachel got something wrong; it's more like she didn't (doesn't) address the entire story. She tosses the grenade and then heads for cover.

I concede that the libs will say that Fox tosses the same grenade. No need to comment on that observation. For comparison purposes I frequently watch the "news" coverage on selected topics and it's astounding how very different the story line is between liberal and conservative reports.

I don't know what they thought of the A Bomb, except they probably didn't like it.

Unfair???

It may have taken a million GI deaths to defeat the Japanese homeland; the bomb avoided that. It was probably the only decision Truman could make.

Still, it was controversial; it still is.

When government spends a fortune and develops a tool that is decisive, it will probably get used. Otherwise, why develop it?

Now...think of the NSA.

Neville Chamberlain practiced appeasement and allowed the Axis Powers to grow, strengthen, and do seemingless endless evil.

Mr Churchill, Mr Roosevelt, Mr Truman, Mr Stalin, and the rest of the Allied Powers practiced extermism in defense of liberty, and we all need to thank God they did. Yes, the development and use of the A Bomb was an extreme measure.

loujenn, forgive me, after due consideration, your decision to remain silent is most likely the correct decision.

Better to remain silent and have people think you a fool than to open your mouth and prove them right.

The utter nastiness shown in your utterances should disqualify you from participating in any discourse. Play nice or go elsewhere. Spirited contributions are interesting but your nasty jabs are NOT.

That makes 2 of us for sure!!!! Twardlow is so "set" in his liberal ways that he could be a statue. But not to be confused with the statue of "The Thinker" because we all know this would not apply to him.

Understand your comment, and I will attempt to reign in my nastiness in the future. I will also take cautionary note of your willingness to deny me my freedom of speech over something as important as your dislike of my tone. Would you also be interested in siliencing me if my views, religious or political, differed from yours?

Please feel secure that I personally would defend your freedoms, including that of speech, regardless of how nasty, or contrary in opinion to mine, you become.

God bless, and isn't freedom great?

I watch MSNBC Every Night, without fail.

It has a liberal bias; I have a liberal bias. Fine with me.

They tend to bust Republicans, which is fine with me. I should hope they would attack them more. There is no hope for this country until the Republican party has evolved to something radically different than what it is now.

Still, the honesty of MSNBC is Greatly superior to Fox news, which is an irresponsible disaster.

No thinking person pays the slightest attention to Fox News! Period.

If any Fox viewer cares to respond, watch Rachel, then report what she got wrong.

I'm waiting to see if anyone has any Responsible criticism [though I know, no one will bother].

I NEVER watch news on any platform except MSNBC, and I'm satisfied.

Live with it.
I watch MSNBC Every Night, without fail. br br It... (show quote)

Apparently you don't watch Fox News-- they regularly feature well placed spokespersons with opposing views and provide ample opportunities for them to express and discuss their viewpoints and opinions, as well as lively discussions and debates. It's just not quite the same with MSNBC, et all, on the other side of the issue. One need only to tune into the NBC evening news- much less ABC- to see how one-sided "news" can be. And then there's Rachel Maddow.... need I say more?

Unfortunately I do see Fox "news" as my client likes to watch it. Most of the time I try to ignore it but I just can't sometimes. Anyone who says Fox News isn't bias is just being disingenuous. When a dissenting view is expressed the news anchor rolls their eyes or shakes their head or some other negative body language. Can you imagine Walter Cronkite or David Brinkley or Ted Koppel rolling their eyes at a comment from a guest. I doubt it.

Now I have to admit I've never seen Rachel Maddow though I do know she is liberal. I have no idea if she uses reason or facts to make a point. But if you can point to her and say "Need I say more" then I can say: Star Parker, Christine O'Donnell, Ann Coulter, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sarah Palin, Michelle Backmann, Need I say more?

One only needs to study the true and total actions of the Japanese invasion and occupation of the time - not just Pearl Harbor and the fight with the USA -their treatment of the peoples they overran was far worse than the termination of the war by use of the A Bomb - their treatment of many was equal to what the Germans did to the Jews.

War is Hell.

As for the USA in war I feel we - this country - needs to stop sending our people and tax dollars around the world and start a real war here at home on poverty, education and rebuild our nation from the inside - starting with our boarders.

When MSNBC tells you that Reid, Pelosi and Obama are giving away half of their personal wealth as role models for wealth distribution, please alert us on here.
