Has anyone had a positive experience with MPB.com? Feel free to suggest any other online stores that you have received good or great service from.
Thanks,
Mike
I have used MPB with excellent results, both buying and selling. Also I have used Used Photo Pro (Roberts) in Indianapolis, with excellent results as well. Both give warranties for most items of 180 days. Used Photo Pro occasionally extends used warranty to one year on items valued greater that $500, or did for a purchase I made from them. Both rate condition of item conservatively.

Very satisfied with MPB with my purchases.
I have had 100% good experience with KEH, so they are my go-to for used gear. I learned just recently that KEH founder, once a loan company CEO in Atlanta, and I did business together over 50 years ago. Small world!!!
I've sold through Gear Focus with no problems, good outfit. You end up taking a 6% hit, which isn't bad. I can't speak for returns or buying, but from the selling end not bad at all!

Sometimes you can get a very good deal from Canon on refurbished equipment. May be priced somewhere between “used” and new. Same may be true from other manufacturers. You may also see what you want here on the Hog.

I'm sorry about not replying to each post, I'm at work and well, you know...
Thank you all for your points of view. There was an overwhelmingly positive response to Roberts and MPB which is what I was after.
It's good to know that there are choices and for the less informed, the online stores to stay away from. I believe that in the 9 or so years that I have been visiting this site, that I have never seen one good review for Abe's of Maine. One has to wonder how they have stayed in business so long.
Thank you one and all for your input, now I can shop with as much confidence as I am likely to find anywhere.
I have use MPB twice both times as the seller. They gave me a few extra dollars on the camera they bought from me. The other time I sold two lenses. One lens was as quoted the second a couple of dollars less. They were quick with the deposit to my account.
All these places are GREAT for buying from, NOT selling to... thanks
I found best prices at MPB for both buying and selling and have excellent experiences with both KEH and B&H. I recommend any of them.

Most people from Abe’s of Maine are price buyers and do not understand the difference between a USA warranty and an international warranty and think Abe’s warranty will take care of them !
Well in MY experience MPB offered the LOWEST of the group... glad you had a better exchange

Interesting. In most cases I have found the opposite, but they will decline to quote on things more than others. Good for all of us to have choices.

I have purchased used gear from MPB.com. I think they are just as good as KEH for buying or selling.
