Here's mine. This was my first try at a moon shot.

My first shot out of Automatic mode.

First thing, what camera you using and lens? The other thing is, you have to us settings as if it was a bright Sunny day. Your shot is way to bright. But.. This is the hardest Moon to shoot. As it gets full the details are very hard to get. Don't give up tho. Try the half Moon when it comes and you will see more detail.

Hard to tell with such a small picture. You don't have to worry about the thirds rule when you are doing the Moon. So crop it close. Also check the store original box and that will let us see the big picture. I looked at it and the colors look good but the focus looks soft.

Looks darn good! If you can, go in post and add some definition, sharpening and maybe a touch of contrast.

The focus actually is a bit soft. I tried manual focus, but the eyes aren't what they used to be.

Hi Doug
I think you can go in the camera and turn the flash off. With your lens, it doesn't have to be a real heavy tripod. But a remote release or in camera timer would be good. Can you give me your settings on a few? It takes some playing to get the moon. But your gear will do it. Just keep at it.:)

Erv, since you used the trees I had to use the water and trees and ducks. But the moon set this morning was great from where I live, what with all the smoke I am very lucky to see the moon.
Enjoy

Bullfrog, I think yours are the most original so far. I really like the first one with the dock, ducks and moon reflection. Nice composition and it has a very nice feel about it.

Thanks you lazy ole Coot. I should have remembered you and tried for a Coot Shot.....LOL How fun it is, not often you get to abuse someone in jest by calling them names as you address them.

OK - I'm a little late in reading the post, but I took this blue moon rising above my mountain - Pusch Ridge outside of Tucson, AZ. I took the shot late Thursday, the 30th. I adjusted the levels in photoshop in order to get some image of the mountain.
