Thanks for the comment Erv, I also have to say THANK YOU for starting this Blue Moon challenge, It has been very interesting to see the response from all the participants from around the WORLD. The UHH is quite universal to say the least. As I write this there are 14 pages of a response, phenomenal....

It has become a habit for me to do that on the internet as I have had images stolen and used without authorization or compensation. I look at it this way, if someone likes and wants to use one then they should contact me and ask. If the marking prevent it, great. Not looking to make enemies just protecting my art. Hope this isn't a problem on UHH

Hi Ed! No problem for us here or me. I was just wondering.:) Don't see it to often. I just don't think it works from what I have read. With all the soft ware they have now days they can remove your mark in about 6 seconds. I am not a pro any more, stop doing it for money a long time ago. But that was back in the film days. I guess if folks want to use any of my pictures and want to go do it under the table, kind of makes me smile. If they would just ask I would let them any way.:) Now days when you post to the internet your shot go so many places it is unbelievable. Just Google your name or something about photography. Or just this site, and ask about a flower type that you took. I am almost positive yours will show up among the many that do. So I guess what I am saying is, I don't like the way it looks on my pictures, so I don't do it any more. And I don't have the money to fight the copy right any way.:)

I must have missed your post. A few things could be set wrong. Sounds like you have to high of an ISO. You don't have to go to high. Start out at 200. And your shutter speed should be around 400-600. The F stop to start at around 8-12. This should get you in the ball park.:) Remember the Moon is like taking a sunny shot during the day.:)

That looks pretty good. You just need to crop it tighter and play with the sliders a little. Looks like you should add definition, sharpening and maybe lighten it up just a bit.

Are you reading the other post??
They are giving the best description of how to do it I can find.
You just have not hit the right combination yet. Practice, Practice, Practice.
Try this
1. Use a tripod with the longest telephoto lens you have (Kits work best for the initial trial)
Set your camera at f1/200s at f-16 at ISO200, and take a series of photos by increasing the ISO to 300 etc. etc. to 600 and look at each shot and evaluate.
Then start over at ISO200 and vary the f.up to 32 then vary the speed up and down. Keeping two of the parameters stable while changing the other up and down. You should see results pretty quick.
Good Luck and let us hear from you
