Excellent shots, Jim, but the credit belongs to you, not the camera.

....coupled with a Sony a mount to e mount adapter and tried both out with my Tamron 150 - 600 lens and it worked pretty good.I'm still getting to grips with the camera which in time will be a great walk around
camera instead of lugging the a mount cameras about when we have our holiday breaks.Anyway i digress and i've been out with the new camera using the big Tamron plus the adapter (LA-EA4) on a few bird shots to see how it went and i was quite happy with the photos i got.

Jim, an excellent set and the sharpness and colors are great. DDLs are fantastic to check out the sharpness.

Thank you very much Jack I'm glad you liked them and thanks for looking in and commenting.I was a bit apprehensive with using the A to E adapter with the a fit lenses but they're not too bad so far.

nice shots Jim- I own a Sony A7Rii and love the camera. I too bought the LA-EA4 adapter to use with some of my other lenses (Sigma, Tamron, Minolta). Much to my dismay the Tamron (70-200) will not focus at all in any mode. Every other lens auto focuses except the Tamron. Even in manual focus I get no indication when the object is in clear focus (meaning the focus square does not turn green). Kinda a bummer for me!!

Very clever purchase. I have the a7s II and was thinking your camera would be a good buy.
As for adaptors Sony is right in recommending native Sony lens. Your shots are great and as a fan and owner of many
Nikons over the years, Sony has perfected mirrorless makes great images and great video.
Good luck.
