camera instead of lugging the a mount cameras about when we have our holiday breaks.Anyway i digress and i've been out with the new camera using the big Tamron plus the adapter (LA-EA4) on a few bird shots to see how it went and i was quite happy with the photos i got.

nice shots Jim- I own a Sony A7Rii and love the camera. I too bought the LA-EA4 adapter to use with some of my other lenses (Sigma, Tamron, Minolta). Much to my dismay the Tamron (70-200) will not focus at all in any mode. Every other lens auto focuses except the Tamron. Even in manual focus I get no indication when the object is in clear focus (meaning the focus square does not turn green). Kinda a bummer for me!!

Thanks for looking in Brian, glad you liked them and i've just been out for a couple of hours doing test shots with all my lenses and the only one that dos'nt work is my Tamron macro lens.

Very clever purchase. I have the a7s II and was thinking your camera would be a good buy.
As for adaptors Sony is right in recommending native Sony lens. Your shots are great and as a fan and owner of many
Nikons over the years, Sony has perfected mirrorless makes great images and great video.
Good luck.

Thank you very much for looking in Tom i really appreciate it.Glad you liked the photos and It's just a matter of learning how to use it now

LA-EA4 is a good adaptor and allows you to use A-mount lenses with full function. A7ii is a good camera. Enjoy shooting.
