Great set of these UK built cars which were beautiful to look at.

Thank you Dave. You are correct about the good looks - many had style wich a lot of modern cars lack.

You continue to bring back old memories.
Some of these cars were really well made in their day. Lucas was the downfall of almost all of them.

I just noticed where you are. When someone says they are in the 'middle of nowhere', They have never been to Alice. I spent some time at that base SW of you. Back then my favourite drink was KB Tooth.

As you often have, with these pictures, you brought back some memories (I guess it makes some old brain cells fire)

My boss, in Germany in the 69 to 73, had an MGB GT. He was a VERY tall man and it was interesting getting in and out.

A work mate, when I lived south of Miami, FL in 66 to 68, wanted to show my 68 Camaro SS to his wife… I think he wanted to trade for one like mine… so we swapped cars for a day and I drove his Triumph Spitfire for the day… running som errands… neat little car & fun to drive but I preferred my Camaro.

Thank you for your comments BBurns. I had forgotten about Tooths KB Lager. The Tooths KB brewery closed down sometime around 2011 but the did make another batch around 2021 but sadly it is not in regular production. Cheers, Richard.

Thank you for your feedback KillroyII. Camero versus Triumph Sptifire. You couldn't get much different than that - one American muscle car versus one petite British sports car.
