British cars were a common sight on Australian roads for 50 years from the 1920s to the early 1970s. During the 1950s British cars outsold all other makes in Australia.

I really relate to the MG. I learned to drive on my older brother's 1952 MG TD. It was black with a red interior. I don't remember if the interior was original or if he opted to put the red one in himself. I soon learned you had to be prepared to deal with a few mechanical gremlins, but it was a fun car to drive.

Fabulous pictures!
I live the ‘two seater's.

Your images made me smile on this dreary December day.

That's true of almost every British car I've owned/driven/worked on. One fellow told me, as I commented on the oil leak in his [make and model withheld to not cast further aspersions], "It's OK. It's just marking its spot!"

Another set you have nicely captured.

I found the various 2-seaters more appealing cars in this set... although I probably couldn't get my old body in and out of any of them, I have even have difficulties with modern sedans... they all seem so low to the ground.
