British cars were a common sight on Australian roads for 50 years from th 1920s to the early 1970s. During the 1950s British cars outsold all other makes in Australia.

Another great set. Some I remember, some are new to me. I always wanted a TC and a 120 Jag.

Thorny, you've got two of my all-time favorites in your collection for today. I happen to own a '55 XK140 and a '59 TR3 and have for the past 30 years. Clint Eastwood drove a '57 XK150 in "Play Misty for Me". I'd take any of the XK's. Oh, I forgot to mention, that my XK and TR3 are 1/18 die cast models.

Thank you Ava'sPapa. Like you I own several desirable classic cars in 1/18 scale which will probably be about as close as I can get to owning the real thing.

You show 2 cars here that I can really relate to.

I learned to drive using my older brother's 1952 MG TD.

A fraternity brother I had in college owned an XK 150 convertible. When he needed more room in a car, typically for " extra curricular " activities, we would swap cars for a day or two. In the course of a semester, I would usually have his car for 4 or 5 days.

Thank you black mamba. I can relate to your comment about "extra curricular" activities. The drive-in pictures was always a good place to start!!
