British cars were a common sight on Australian roads for 50 years from the 1920s to the early 1970s. During the 1950s British cars outsold all other makes in Australia.

This is a terrific series you have going. Like ava'sPapa, I'm seeing cars I didn't know existed. I'm impressed that the owners of the cars you show seem to keep them in great shape. I know y'all have to have your share of rolling wrecks. How about doing one series where you show only cars that fit that category.

Wow, Wow, Wow, and Wow
Great fun to see this batch.

That are all great; however, the Morris Mini Moke Californian and the Ute were the cutest.

Again, thanks for sharing

Thanks black mamba I really appreciate your feedback. The cars that I have posted photos of in this series have either been restored or lovingly preserved and their owners are proud to show them. You have given me an idea for what may be an interesting variation to the usual run of vehicle photos that I post. I will have to dig deep into my collection of photos to see what I can find.

I've enjoyed this series. Thank you. I like the Jaguars especially. Also, the Mini Ute (or maybe Mitey Cute). Compare that to the Ford F-250 you see on our roads.

Thank you for your feedback Caribou. Unlike other versions of the Mini, BMC (British Motor Corporation) Australia did not consider that manufacture of the Mini ute in Australia to be viable "due to the domination of the ute market by other car manufacturers". The few that do exist in Australia have been fully imported. And yes the F-250 is a monster when compared to the Mini ute.

I think the only one of these I've heard of is the Jag! Really nice set. Kinda reminds me of watching The Saint on TV.
