That ws how I felt when we went to Cuba. The people need the money, but the government is astoundingly obtuse to their inability to function. The old city of Havana is awash with historical buildings that are crumbling. There are a few that have been restored and they are beautiful. But the oppressiveness of the regime can be felt everywhere. It is probably the same in Burma, I mean Myanmar, even if it is rightist's vs. Cuba's leftist's.
