Wow it’s hot here for us girls. I’m sat on my bed 🛌 in the cool 😎 and I’m all ready for tomorrow. I’ve been to Asda this morning. I’m going to have to think out my coffee prices. They’ve gone from $1,80 to $2.20 a 200ml double espresso ☕️, at the moment if I buy in 3’s I get them for $1. Each…..but…..my mueller rice 🌾 cartons are done to 10 for $4. So it’s swings and roundabouts. I can just hear Stephen moaning! Well.. I won’t 👂. Take any notice of him. I may say yes, yes yes…..but when he goes I’ll be back to normal….I love my coffees
I’ve got to be up in the morning. Half past six I think to be fully awake to get the coach. It’s supposed to be so very hot. We will have to have lots of fluids, ice creams and im going to try hard and not buy a cheese and ham toastie…
I’ve sorted my bag 💼 out. Money in purse. We will be frequenting the charity shops 🏬.
Karen has gone away early this morning. Wendy’s texted me. She fell out of bed 🛏 last night and had to press her buzzer, the carers were out in 10mins she says. She’s ok just feels very bruised. She really could do without doing that. I e got her some more big soup 🍜 for next week. She really does like it, and she always gives me choc biscuits. She loves a surprise of food. She just looks forward to something different.he S and DIL just go and get her the same all the time. But they are good as well. Sometimes they are able to take her for a look. She thinks that’s great. It’s the same old story…..they have busy lives with working etc.
I’m hoping all my sisters who are unwell 🤧 are a bit better today. I think about you. I’ve sent june another text but it has been quiet all week. She was reading her watts app txt from me but that stopped on Sunday. Stay safe, love yawl. Off to Harrogate tomorrow and Stephen’s at the weekend I think…

Good morning all from another sunny and what's going to be a very hot Norfolk, hit 28C yesterday and higher today. Don't intend to do much except try and stay cool. DH will probably go shopping and it's salad for dinner. Have a good day, still stay safe. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:33 am EDT and 18'C (64'F) going up to 24'C (75'F). The humidity will be blown away by high winds after lunch.
Yesterday afternoon all my cell phones, work and personal, went off warning of a funnel cloud. We kept an eye out but it looks like it passed north of us. A tornado touched down in Brooklin just north of where I work and in Belleville, at the east end of Lake Ontario. We got heavy rain and could hear thunder far away.
During the storm one of the downspouts backed up onto the porch. We have trouble with this downspout every time it rains hard. Mum called the guys who did our roof. (They also do eaves) But they were going to charge $175 just to come and look at it. One of the other people that she had look at it, quoted a ridiculous price saying that it was impossible to get downpipes the same size as what we have. I found a 10' replacement after 10 minutes of internet searching. And there was also a plastic replacement with adapters, if we wanted to go that way.
DD managed to break a welded handle off one of mum's heavy aluminum fry pans. Unfortunately the welder north of us is no longer in business, so we'll have to find someone else to fix this.
The owner of the LYS sent out a message that she was closing the store and Knitting in the Parking Lot was called off. Good call. Although we didn't have the brunt of the storm pass over, we still had enough rain to make the parking lot very wet.
My Feel Good shawl is getting bigger fast. The ladies that I taught brioche will be able to handle this shawl so far. There are 2 increases that I can teach in 15 minutes. The rest is easy. My other brioche project is starting to look like some weird alien helmet!

Good morning from sunny Surrey. Did a great workshop on machine quilting yesterday but I'm absolutely knackered. Had a lazy breakfast sitting on the terrace, going to take it easy for a few days as I have an applique workshop on Monday. Still doing well with my Step up to June challenge.

Salad for dinner sounds good.
DD pulled all her red globe radishes yesterday before the rain. The hot weather was too much for them and they decided that they should flower. So some of the radishes became part of a seafood stirfry.

Mum has just discovered that the HUGE leather purse/bag that my sister gave her for Christmas is useful. She had a sweater and bird seed blocks in there, so she could go the the lake shore and entice the birds closer so she could take a picture. What else would you put in your purse when you are a photographer. (Oh yeah, it holds all her spare batteries too)

Mum relented yesterday and let us put the air con on during the rain storm when we had to close all the windows. We kept it on until it was time to go to bed, so I actually slept last night.
I need to go to the Dollar store to get some more project bags. My local grocery store used to sell great bags made from recycled water bottles, but people are cutting back on water bottles and using refillables and there are less of those bags available, just when just about every store now doesn't have plastic bags available. What ever happened to paper bags? My LYS uses paper bags. Compostable, recycleable. Why not? Walmart has bags but they are just really thick plastic bags. I don't like those.
I'm so sorry about Wendy falling out of bed. When mum was working as a personal support worker, she found several of her clients had fallen out of bed and had to call an ambulance for some of them. I hope Wendy's bruises heal quickly and she doesn't have any other problems from the fall.
Enjoy your trip to Harrowgate. (I really need to go somewhere!)

I'm trying to get mum to use her answering machine to screen her calls. She gets so many salesmen calling.
Our No Call list is a joke. The list was sold/leaked to some large companies, which totally defeated its purpose.
