Good morning all from a back to normal sunny Norfolk, it eventually stopped raining early evening yesterday. We should be in for a very warm weekend with perhaps thunder Sat. night. I'm totally confused (easily done) at the moment, our rubbish day has changed from Fri. to Thurs. so thought I had missed a day somewhere until, half asleep, I remembered the change. Nothing planned for today so will carry on the same old same old. Have a good day. xx
Good thing you remembered. It helps me when I see the neighbours bins at the curb the night before.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 7:02 am EDT and 9'C (48'F) going up to 26'F (79'F). Mum uncovered the air conditioner unit outside.
There are still 188 people in ICU with covid. Wastewater is showing that covid is slowly going down. The latest observations are that the omicron variants are not causing the typical loss of smell and taste and are causing more intestinal effects. Mum is still testing negative.
My back yard is full of squirrels having their breakfast but the little red squirrel looks like he has moved on. We haven't seen him in 2 days. There were too many birds here for his liking. Tippy was here for her breakfast, then disappeared, probably returning to her babies behind the neighbour's house.
I've started my summer top with the yarn that I have. (Weird, huh!)

How weird is that, I usually begin winter projects for myself, at the end of summer; and hope to have them finished before the winter weather begins. Fortunately I don't designate the year that I hope to finish any item that I begin. Will you have your summer top finished, before this years summer actually begins? 🤔😂😉xoxoxo

Good afternoon girls, I’m just onto my bed and in from my bus trip. I’m not moving off it for a long time. I’m so tired 😪. I don’t think Northallerton is as good as thirsk. It was market day, so I got a top and some more summer trousers, all I need is some sun 🌞 which has been in and out today. We had our lunch in a popular cafe. Marjory had jacket potato and a stack of prawns 🦐 and salad, Barbara had 2 poached eggs on toast, I had a bacon and sausage bun and a glass of orange squash. It only came to $4.50. There were two rashers of bacon and 2 sausages. The sausages were proper butcher sausages and very very tasty 👅 I tried to get me a sudoku book 📕 but failed.
I didn’t reckon much to the charity shop 🏬 not up to thirsks standard. Northallerton is supposed to be millionaires town…well, certainly didn’t have much in the charity shop.
The sun is out. We had 1 shower and that was on the bus coming home. I will see how I am in the morning, and might go to Wendy’s because I didn’t get today, no promising anything tonight. I’m going to have my chocolate ice cream 🍨 lolly. Stay safe, luv you all.

Not every place can be Thirsk!
At least you had a good meal.
Have a good day today.

Good morning from a 41F and partly cloudy Shoreline area. Joining a couple of friends to visit a bunch of yarn shops today as it's the first day of the annual local yarn shops tour. Should be a fun day. Hopefully I'll mostly behave myself and not buy too much yarn. I hope you all are having a good day. xxxooo
I can't wait for our yarn crawl to start. I feel more comfortable with that than gathering with others in an arena. If there are too many people in the shop, I'll wait. It will be interesting to see if there are any new shops and how many closed during the pandemic.
I hope you didn't behave yourself and came home with an armful of yarn.

Well, I have caught up with all the posts, so far ..... so I am going to watch a program about the original "Peaky Blinders", it is quite interesting .... for me anyway! It is in the 1870's, involving the Irish and the English, in Birmingham! Bye for now. I might get back on here a bit later, if I don't go to bed first. It is 2055hrs here, so bed might be the next thing I do, after I have done a bit of reading! Have a great day, whatever you might be getting up to! xoxoxo

Mum is laughing. She has fixed her corner problem. Seems she missed a half shell, so she fudged it. I'll try to get a picture later for posting tomorrow.

The remote gadgets are wonderful. I certainly enjoy the remote start on my car. Our grandson was in Saudi Arabia and he started his car which was parked in my sons garage. My sons wife was not amused when out of the blue the car started without warning. It took longer for the warning text to reach her than it did to start the car.
My car would be started and halfway to work before I got the email or text.
I love that I can lock my doors when I'm inside the house, especially after carrying groceries inside.

Our neighbour has 4 kids, but no garbage to put at the curb. His girls take their garbage to the park garbage bins when they walk the dogs.
We had a lifter truck for the compost. But I've seen the workers just empty the little bins themselves because the lifter is slow.
We have no workers, just the driver of the truck. He just has to wait for the lifter to do it's job.

The KAL runs until July 1 when we start something else, so I hope I have it done by then. I usually spend the hot days of summer in a tank top, so I'll be happy if I can wear this top either at Knitting in the Parking lot, which is closer to Lake Ontario and therefore a little cooler, or towards the end of summer when the evenings are cooler.

I have no memory of garbage pickup, prior to moving into the area I live in now ..... I think that is because I was usually working on the mornings that the bins were emptied, and the bins were put out by my previous partner. I don't do the bins now, either; DH puts the correct bins out every week, then brings them back in again.
We have a garbage bin, two recycling bins, a compost bin and sometimes a bag of plastic bags, so usually mum and I work together to take everything to the curb.
We didn't have garbage pickup at our old house. We had to take our garbage to the dump ourselves. The car smelt badly after that run.
I'm going to sign off now. I signed into work early because there was a beep in the middle of the night. I check everything, but could not find anything wrong and have been periodically checking while I made breakfast and had a cup of tea, but still nothing. (It's a mystery beep)
Hopefully the rest of the day will go better.
Everyone have a good day.
Stay safe.

Didn't behave myself too much, just a little! We visited 7 shops yesterday and plan to go to another 5 shops today. It was a fun day yesterday. Pretty long day, but fun. I hope everyone is having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

Wow! Lucky you. There are not 12 yarn shops within 300 miles of here.
