That's how I feel about the LYS KAL shawl. I used the needle that was recommended and the size of the yarn that was recommended. I met gauge when I measured the first part, but I don't like the fabric at all. Looser knits can't take the wear and tear that tighter knits can. Will that sweater survive laundering? Because babies spit up a lot.

Label says premium acrylic. 100%. Machine washable and dryable. Made in turkey. “ Sensationallysoft”. Lion brand color Olympic. Heartland. I chose it because I liked the color for a 4 month old boy and it felt so soft but it knits up floppy.

You did the right thing, but it's amazing how many people don't! Glad you didn't get rear ended. xxxooo

Thanks. I don’t trust the circles because they confuse people.

I’ve really tried hard to do my sudokus today, but for some reason I’ve got a foggy 😶‍🌫️ brain 🧠. So I’ve given up the chase and I’ll sort it tomorrow. I have, however caught upon a couple of tiny chores. I’ve put Margaret’s prezzies and card up. And…..I’ve made an appointment to get my haircut 💇‍♀️ nearest is. 14th April. I thought it felt like 3 moths but it’s only about 4 weeks. I’ve had Jane for 40+yrs and she comes to the house. I think I’ll get it shoulder length so I can put it up. I went to Karen’s this morning to get the presents for Margaret to give her tomorrow.Andrew and Michelle were at Asda so I made us drink of chocolate 🍫. Well, I have to haven’t I? We had a good hour chatting. I got my salad stuff yesterday, but forgot to buy a lettuce 🥬! So they got me one, and, wait for it, another 6 coffees at $1. They said there were only 6 left.

I’m going to ring in the prescription line for my pills 💊 and they should be delivered about Tuesday, if not it will be Wednesday. So niggly little jobs are getting done ✅ I’m going to settle into a film 🎥 this afternoon I think. I’ve got a few recorded.

It’s been a beautiful sunny day again. We are having a nice spring up here. Margaret’s gone to York I think. I’ll see her tomorrow. Stay safe and be careful, love yawl. Xx 💋

Lovely sunny cool morning in my little corner. I am feeling so very very tired and spending a lot of time sleeping. I am negative. Just do not have the energy to participate much on connections. Assuming this too shall pass. Reading your posts are like getting extra rays of sunshine.

You do what you need to do jinx. We are all guilty of that feeling you have. It will pass….sending you a Susan hug xxx

Good morning from a 41F and cloudy Shoreline area. Rain is on the way, with another atmospheric river situation in a couple of day. No plans for the day so will see what might come along. Will get on with my knitting at some point. xxxooo

London Girl

Hello, I'm here, did you miss me?

Glorious day here today and I spent it on a coach trip with my fellow-travellers to S. Albans and Hertford, in the very north of London. Unfortunately, I forgot to tell poor Victoria what time the coach was leaving and she missed it! However being the resourceful girl she is, she got a train to London, then a train to St. Albans and was there before us! St. Albans was lovely, it is quite olde worlde and had a huge market but by the time we'd had coffee and a long catch-up, followed by lunch in the pub and another long catch-up, it was time to get back on the coach! Hertford was not quite so good and we only had an hour there but that was time for a cup of tea and a piece of cake!

Hope everyone is well and happy, please stay that way!!! Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That's not a joke. I can't afford the gas to go to work every day either.
Mum get's mystery bruises too, but she bruises if anything just touches her exposed skin. It's a side-effect of one of her medications.

I'm supposed to check the house every 3 days for insurance, I'm spacing it out a bit further now with the gas prices. I also spend less money when I stay at home! The house is on the market now, hopefully I will be able to lead a much more normal life soon. xox

I like fresh peas. I don't mind if they have been heated, I just don't like peas that have been boiled until they are little wrinkled shells and have no flavour left.
Some of the ladies can tell you, I love mushy peas (marrowfat peas).

Me too, mushy peas, butter and malt vinegar.

I'm going to sign off now. I need a cup of tea before work.
Mum and sis will be driving for 2 hours there and 2 hours back on Saturday to attend my aunt's birthday party. This is the aunt who had the cancer, heart problems, broken back and 2 strokes. She's doing well enough to have a birthday weekend, with family members dropping into her house to celebrate all weekend long. It's bi-weekly shopping for me.
Everyone have a good day and good weekend.

Have a great birthday time. xoxo
