Good morning from sunny Surrey. It's a glorious day and I ve just heard the family are on their way to the ferry. The wind has dropped so they should have a calm crossing. They should arrive here just before midnight.
Thinking of you Pam and your family.
Happy Saturday everyone and stay safe xxx
Have a great visit with your family! xoxoxo

Well ladies it is now time for me to log off now, and do some knitting; so I will chat again tomorrow, at some time! Stay safe, whatever you will be doing! xoxoxo
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 5:49 am EDT and -5'C (23'F). Showers today, but I have to scrape frost off my windshield.
Covid news, over 18% positivity. With Delta, Omicron, "son of omicron" and XE circulating during the last 4 months, over 12K people have caught covid more than once. (Different variants). Over 1216 people are in hospital with covid, but only 168 in ICU. A lot of people now are of the opinion, I'm going to catch covid anyways, I might as well enjoy myself until then.
Mum went to the "Float your Fanny down the Ganny" on Saturday, but she went up river to a conservation area where she could set up and not be near anyone. She got some good pictures until she couldnt' feel her fingers anymore, then she came home to warm up.
My sister and BIL will be putting their flip house on the market on Apr 28, so BIL is finishing the trim work, and sis is painting.
DD was spreading peat moss on the centre garden that is all clay. Hopefully it will help. I still think triple-mix would be better but she didn't want to disturb the sprouting plants too much. We still need to get a half load of triple-mix for the raised gardens. One of them has sunk about 4 inches.
Pasta was mostly missing from the shelves when I went shopping. There were some odd brands that I didn't recognize in place of the usual brands and all of it was double the price. Butter was also double, but cheese and milk wasn't. I got told off when I came home for buying too much, so we have all agreed that I won't be bi-weekly shopping anymore. Someone will just run out and get whatever we run out of. We did this before and it ended up costing more.
I'm now knitting the top of my pink tank for a 2nd time. I was out by one stitch when I went to do the right top, after completing the left top and the only way to fix it was to frog the left top and go down the couple of rows to fix where I messed up 4 stitches resulting in one more stitch than I needed. I also picked up the gazillion stitches for the button band on the LYS KAL cardi

Ice cold water is a definite no no for me .... as it is an instant severe asthma instigator for me, so I only have room temperature water, and nothing is ice cold for me!
xoxoxo
The water unit in my kitchen produces hot, room and cold temperatures. I just have to re-fill the jug from the tap because we didn't get the plumbed in version.

Are these animals looking for their food, or trying to get to their reflections, because they think someone is infringing on their territory?
xoxoxo
We had a female cardinal bird who kept attacking her reflections in the side mirrors of cars. Lucky for her babies, she had an excellent partner who raised the babies basically by himself. His son now has a nest in our yard.

Good morning all from another sunny day in Norfolk, so far. I have succumbed and there's another batch of cheese straws in the oven. Nothing else planned for the day apart from dinner so knitting it will be if I can get rid of this headache that has plagued me for days. Have a good day, stay safe. xx
I hope you are feeling better soon.

Mav, I rarely do straight ss, for too many rows, because it is boring; I might switch back to my first way of knitting (into the back of the stitch, on the knit row); or I just add a very simple pattern, so the knitting doesn't get too boring & run the risk of getting put in the back of a cupboard, or something similar!
xoxoxo
I just try to avoid the patterns with large swaths of plain stitches.

Do squirrels get violent at any time? I have obviously never had anything to do with them, & I haven't heard anything about them being violent, but I do know that some animals (even if they are known for their gentleness) have been a little violent, when approached! 🤔😏xoxoxo
Our squirrels have tried to attack a red-tailed hawk. They were lucky that it was a juvenile, because an adult hawk would have eaten them. These squirrels regularly have "squirrel wars" in our yard with invading neighbour squirrels and they come out of that with hair missing and scars. Squirrels will attack people who get too close to their nests. But generally the nests are high in trees, so only the tree-trimmers need to watch out for that. They are well armed with sharp claws and rodent teeth that keep growing.

We are STILL getting Summer temperatures, 32℃ today, and above 30℃ until Sunday week (the weekend after Easter); so we might not get Autumn, until halfway through Winter, and I could really do with some cooler weather, round about now!
xoxoxo
This is the first week where I'll have double-digit C temperatures for the entire week. The nights are still cold.
Stay chill Judi.

I think the my problem is actually picking up one of the projects to work on! Over the last few weeks, I just haven't had the energy to actually DO anything, so I have been sleeping far too much, but I have found it impossible to keep my eyes open; even to the point of DH having to bring me home early from my Craft & spinning days! I used to be able to knit for hours at a time, now I only tolerate an hour, or 2, at the most; and 2 of my projects need to be finished in quite a short time; as well as one more for DGD3 ..... which might well be needed for our Winter, if it ever gets here!
I just need to get strict with myself, and just DO IT! 🤣😂🤣 xoxoxo
I think the my problem is actually picking up one ... (

Sleep knitting isn't really productive though. I've had to take out a lot of mistakes when I've done that.

One jab a year would be ok, but no more ..... I am a needle phobic, & have been coping so far; but if the injections keep increasing, I can see the calmness breaking soon ...... 🤨🤨🤨🤐 xoxoxo
Here they are recommending a booster every 6 months.

I put my piece down and next day knit 6 rows before I realized I hadn’t changed to larger needles and stopped moss stitch 6 stitch at edge so had to take out all 6 rows I did Grr.
I have done that. Not very productive. Now I try to stop a row after the change.

Doing okay y'all, just still trying to find my mojo.
Stuck in a rutt lol.
I hope you find some mojo. I can send some. I think I have too much, judging by the project bags piled up beside my knitting spot.
