Good morning from a 38F and cloudy Shoreline area. Again no plans for the day other than possibly vacuuming the house. Will get on with my knitting at some point. I hope you all are having a good day. xxxooo

Can I hug then eat the children? They are growing fast.

Do squirrels get violent at any time? I have obviously never had anything to do with them, & I haven't heard anything about them being violent, but I do know that some animals (even if they are known for their gentleness) have been a little violent, when approached! 🤔😏xoxoxo

Squirrels are rats that have long fluffy tails and climb trees. They bite and have extraordinarily sharp teeth and strong jaws. They can crack nuts easily.

Are these animals looking for their food, or trying to get to their reflections, because they think someone is infringing on their territory? xoxoxo

They come for treats, especially when there are no fish out in the sea. One jumps on Alan's lap to be fed.

And I'm watching a huge raccon with no tail checking out our table and flat feeder at the very back of the yard. It's hopping on its back legs so it must have hurt it's leg when it lost its tail. Didn't seem to lose much weight though. Our raccoons look like small bears. It is behind the composter now. Nothing new in there. It has gone over the berm and into the field in the light industrial area behind our house. That is where the stoat/short-tail weasel lives too.

I think news said a rabid fox at capital building or White House bit 4 people. Has been captured. Last night for some reason I turned my face to the left and there was a small white spider on my sweat jacket. Popped it with a heavy envelop.

The raccoon came back and came right up to the back door while I was standing there watching him. I think people have been feeding him because he was not afraid of me. He just climbed up my neighbours spruce. He might be planning on sleeping in the tree today.

I thought if wild creatures come near people it might mean the critter had rabies.

We had a female cardinal bird who kept attacking her reflections in the side mirrors of cars. Lucky for her babies, she had an excellent partner who raised the babies basically by himself. His son now has a nest in our yard.

Mirrors & windows confuse many of our winged friends, many people try to stop that happening by making their windows less reflective. We had Piping Shrikes (state bird of my state, and it looks like a miniature of our Magpie) crash into one of our windows; but this hasn't happened for quite a few years now; so they must have learnt about their reflections ...... which I am very pleased about. Oh, and they aren't the only bird that has attacked the window, in the belief that there is another bird infringing on territory. xoxoxo

Good morning all from another sunny day in Norfolk, so far. I have succumbed and there's another batch of cheese straws in the oven. Nothing else planned for the day apart from dinner so knitting it will be if I can get rid of this headache that has plagued me for days. Have a good day, stay safe. xx

I hope your relentless headache has diminished, if not departed by now, and you aren't feeling too washed out! xoxoxo
