You might try "Audio Jungle" for buyout music. There's a wide range of music and the rates are reasonable.

Hi Avery,
I find "Wondershare's Filmora" to be excellent software for both video and slideshows. You can add any number of tracks, (voice, sound effects, music, etc.) and it's quite easy to get into quickly. I don't remember exactly but I think it was only around $49.00 with constant updates at no charge.
God Bless,
Papa Joe

Do you have Amazon Prime.
If you do, besides free shipping, it gives you unlimited storage of photo's, and free music.

If you do, then do you have Amazon FireStick. It cost a whopping $40 and works on any TV. Besides watching Youtube videos, Pluto and all sorts of stuff free, including listening to millions of song titles also free, you can use the PHOTO app to view all the pics you've uploaded to Amazon drive, and you can play Amazon Music right along with the slide show. Firestick works with your WiFi connection, which most people today have.

I resize all my good photo's to 1920x1080 which fits all my HD TV's, and upload them to Amazon Drive, which makes them immediately available on all my TV's that have the fire stick (all 4 of them do). I can watch slideshows or individually page though each picture. I have them in folders which I can watch, or watch them all, and can add/remove to a favorites list right from my TV's and view only favorites. Couldn't be easier and works a treat.

There are many apps that are able to perform slideshows including native ones in all operating systems. I have used VLC to build 4 windows on a large monitor with music as well. Granted I am retired IT but the app is free and the user manual is well written. I did use 4 instances of the app at once on 2 separate systems to celebrate a dance studios 20th anniversary. I also shot 80% of the images. It was a fun challenge and my fellow dancers loved it. You can do this.

I’ve always worked with “production music” companies. Google that term and several will pop up.

Cost depends on hundreds of factors. Read the fine print…

Thank you, I will check it out

I know we've talked about this before, but I could use some updated assistance in photo slideshows. I had Proshow Gold and loved it. As you know, it has been discontinued. I started having problems with it and eventually uninstalled it. I've tried Photostage, and I've discovered that when I download my images, they show up with an ugly blue-green grade to them. I tried editing each image separately but found it both tedious and inadequate to restoring the images as they were originally. I've sent a message to tech support and am still awaiting an answer as to how to correct this.

So...what photo software programs are you using? I'd prefer something I can add music to. What do you recommend...or not recommend? I'd also prefer something I don't have to subscribe to, if possible. (Photopia was supposed to be PSG's replacement...but I'm not keen on spending $25 a month to use it.) I'm willing to buy a license, as I use these slideshows commercially.

Thanks for whatever help you can provide.
I know we've talked about this before, but I could... (show quote)

Buy an Amazon "Echo Show". Get an Amazon prime account. Load all your photos to Amazon Cloud (Free).
Start Slide show on Echo Show. You will get continuous slides showing 24/7 of all your uploaded photos

Windows has Photos built-in. You can intersperse photos, text slides, and video clips. You can add your own music or pick from a few built-in. Since you do the slideshows commercially, you might need to be careful about which music of your own you use. The "music" can be voice recordings, any MP3.

Start Photos.

I don't get why you would pay $250 for Echo Show when you can pay $40 and get a FireStick that does the same thing but on your big screen HD TV? What am I missing?

Heck, my last TV I bought on sale for the cost of the Echo Show, and it's a 42" Fire TV that so doesn't even need a $40 firestick.

Look at Adobe Rush or Soundslides Plus, both easy to use. Rush is more comprehensive, Soundslides is more intuitive...

I used Pro Show Producer several times and then neglected/quit using it for about five years..When i tried to use it again in September (2021) it was not working properly. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it works fine. I just completed putting together a slideshow of a deceased person for his memorial service.

Hello,

If you have Mac you can use iMovie which works great. You
- download or drag photos from your Photos library or desktop into iMovie
- select the type of transition (how the slides will change from one to another)
- add a title
- add music from your music library
- decide how long you want the slideshow to go on (time between each slide will be adjusted accordingly)
- you're done!

Simple as that.

Thank you all for your responses. I am currently going to try to uninstall and re-install Photostage on both my computers and see if that takes away the blue-green tone. That's what the tech peeps suggest at this point. If that doesn't work, I may take a look at Divinci Resolve and see if that meets my needs. Currently, when I do a photo shoot, I like to throw in a slideshow (set to music...often free-range music) just for kicks. In my senior picture shoots, the kids sometimes play them at their senior grad parties. Wedding slideshows could also provide a walk down memory lane for a couple ten years down the road. ProShow Gold was perfect. So sad that it's gone.
