One of these pictures was taken with a Canon 1DX with a 28-300 lens attached. One was taken with my cell phone. Without looking at the EXIF data, can you tell which is which? They received basically the same treatment in LR - contrast, clarity, sharpening, etc.

Thanks, Jim. While I think that what you say is true, I find it disappointing.

Thank you, Joe. So which camera produced that one, do you think?

Thanks, John. And what led you to that conclusion?

Oooooh, I love multiple choice questions. I'm not familiar with downloading pics on UHH. When I click the download link all I get is a pic not much bigger than the posted one. Is there a way to download full res file? If not , it's a pretty futile exercise in trying to compare low res, compressed photos on a computer screen. It's the same as tossing a coin.

#1 seems a little over saturated which I guess is possible from both the camera and cell phone. So I still don't know but I like the more natural looking #2.

Cell phone is the way to go, less wait beautiful pics and you can't tell the difference in fact I think the new apple cell phone is awesome. Just my 2 cents.

I choose #1 to be from the cell phone, because it seems to have that pre-touched(auto setting) type feel.
I like both images, for the record, and the grass foreground in #1 makes it my winner, cell phone or not.
I too find it a little crazy where cell cameras have gone with their abilities.
I believe that the best camera is the one you have with you when you need a shot!

I think #1 is from the cell phone because #2 looks like you zoomed in on your subject with the DSLR. Clarity and sharpness are good in both shots.

Your complaint has more to do with the limitations in size that can be uploaded and my own personal experience in attempting to upload large files. I understand your frustration.
