Cell phone is the way to go, less wait beautiful pics and you can't tell the difference in fact I think the new apple cell phone is awesome. Just my 2 cents.

I actually might be starting to agree with you - except that I like to print large prints. Probably the new phones allow that. Mine doesn't. I sort of don't like it, but if I were better at using my phone, I might be tempted to not carry a camera.

I'll play. #1 is the camera.

May I ask why?

I think #1 is from the cell phone because #2 looks like you zoomed in on your subject with the DSLR. Clarity and sharpness are good in both shots.

Thanks, Mike. Of course, I could also have zoomed in with the cell phone!

Seems a bit sharper and levels look better.

Now that's an interesting answer!

I would guess that #1 is the cell photo. I cannot claim any expertise but # 2 has some minor vignetting I have never noticed on my Galaxy s10e shots but often see on my SLR.

Interesting replies. So here is my 2 cents worth…..When I download the images on my iPad and then really zoom in number 1 seems to lose a bit more sharpness than number 2 so my guess is #1 is the cell phone. Really a close call though. I still love my sx50 but the phone is always with me and does a great job when there are no challenging conditions.

Interesting. I didn't zoom in on either of them. I continue to be amazed by the colours and contrast offered by the cell phone.

I think the first one was taken with the camera. To me it has better color.

That was my reasoning and conclusion too.

My guess is #1 is a Cell Phone image. When viewing on social media it would be hard to compare.

I'm guessing, from some evidence displayed in both, the first one was a cell phone capture, the second on was the Canon.

One of these pictures was taken with a Canon 1DX with a 28-300 lens attached. One was taken with my cell phone. Without looking at the EXIF data, can you tell which is which? They received basically the same treatment in LR - contrast, clarity, sharpening, etc.

I am going with cell phone for #1 because it demonstrates how camera technology has advanced in cell phones.
