Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:28 am EST and -14'C (7'F). Precipitation is forecast along with rising temperatures. Not sure what the precipitation will be.
Our new covid number is 1299. That's up a bit. Positivity is 2.1%. We have 5 more cases in this area. They are all variant cases. And 2 are in ICU in hospital. They are all household contacts of people who have had the virus. This province managed to vaccinate almost 100K people this weekend. NOBODY in this area. Stuart and I tried to find information about vaccine clinics in this area. They finally posted a plan on one of their websites. It only has the first two vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, and says the clinics will start in June and end in September. The prime minister promised everyone in Canada who wants a vaccine will be vaccinated by June. (except this area who will just be starting vaccinations at that time.) Astrazeneca has also been approved and we got our first shipment last week of over 900K doses. Johnson and Johnson single dose vaccine has also been approved, but we will not be receiving any of that until April.
It was not my bi-weekly shopping weekend, but DD needed some things for supper so both mum and I went out. There were a lot of people out and about.
My green cardi is almost finished, only 4 rows to go, but they are long rows. And I finished my first ball of yarn on my Hitchhiker and got 26 teeth.

Our vaccine centres have had 1.7 million calls since Monday in BC for appointments. The booking is for seniors 90 yrs and over, and indigenous elders at the moment. This is making it difficult for the people that need the appointments as the phone lines can't handle the volume...what a shame so many of us can't read. ๐Ÿคจ

That's the problem here too. They say they will show up and something always comes up and they don't show.

Seems they only want to do new houses.... when you think of it, can you blame them?

When we were having a new window put it, it was cold and noisy indoors so we adjourned to my sewing room in the garage for a couple of hours. DH wanted to keep moving stuff or picking things up and saying "What's this?" or "What does this do?" I told him to leave everything alone or go back indoors!! So he sat quietly and read his book, very wise!!!xxxx

That will be the last time you take him in your woman cave! It only takes once. xoxox

Our last dog was just the right size, big enough that you didn't break her if you tripped over her, but small enough that you could pick her up in an emergency.

I wish I wasn't dogless, just not the right time at the moment. I watch the rescues to get my dog fix until then. xoxo

I don't make things for anyone else. I did give one shawl and one of my sets of knitting needles to my niece but she is a crocheter/beginner knitter so I knew she would be able to take care of it. The shawl that I made for my sister was acrylic, but pretty.
My family doesn't think much of hand made stuff so I don't make them much.

Sian makes some beautiful articles for me and uses exotic yarns.. she knows I appreciate and will take care of them. My kids don't have the want or time to wash delicates.

Thanks Nitz, I think we'd need to have a dehumidifier 'plumbed-in' to the bathroom, which would require a guy to fit it. Fortunately, my odd-job guy is a qualified electrician so that might help! For DH, it's not so much a question of the cost, more that he hates the disruption of having people in the house!! Weird, I know but that's him!!!

Do you mean a bathroom fan that vents to the outside? I was going to get one when I rewired the house but couldn't get a roofer to cut the hole in the metal roof and flash it. So I still open the window.

Good morning. I got a little behind, but all caught up again now. It's the second day back in school with everyone there. Things were so much easier in the classroom, not one single zoom call in sight.

Good morning all from and sunny and if you stay out of the wind warm Norfolk. Well we have started our slow climb out of lockdown in England. Schools are back, we can now meet one person to sit and socialise with, with SD of course but only in public places like parks or beaches etc. houses and private gardens are still out of bounds and people in care homes can now have one named visitor, in PPE and after a test, and can hold hands but no hugs yet. Now we wait and see what that does to numbers. DH is getting his second jab tomorrow then the long wait for mine. Venison meatballs for dinner today so they are all ready to go in the oven then back to the knitting, have a good and safe day. xx
