Good morning all from a yet again, grey and dismal London, with the threat of rain!! 11'C already though so quite mild.

Had a lovely walk with DD yesterday, it's so nice to have someone to talk to while we walk! We covered 3.5 miles yesterday, most of it quite hilly too and so far no ill effects!!

Had a phone chat with my dear old friend in Cornwall. She was 96 last week, mentally, sharp as a tack but getting a little frail and wobbly now though. Apparently, on Saturday night at about 11 o'clock, she went into her bedroom, lost her balance and went down. Didn't break anything but she couldn't get up. She has an alert pendant but of course, she wasn't wearing it and couldn't get to it, nor the phone! To cut a long story short, (she took 90 minutes to tell me all this!) eventually, her dog walker friend appeared and let himself in. She asked what he was doing there so early and, looking puzzled he told her it was 7.30 at night! She had been on the floor for 20 hours!! Paramedics came and got her up but she wouldn't go to hospital, because of the dog, the stretched NHS and the risk of catching Covid 19! She's a bit traumatised and very sore but she'll be fine and was so lucky not to have broken a hip!!

Have a good one everybody, I'm of to continue knitting my hat, it's going well!! Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'll agree with Trish. Lovely to see you here and glad to hear that you and DD are fully recovered.

Thanks, just got to get over the side effects from the vaccine yesterday. At the moment I feel like I have covid again

There are some benefits to working from home.
Will you be able to continue to do that?

When the children are allowed back to school unfortunately working from home will stop

I am all caught up now, so I am off to bed ...... I just hope it is cool enough now, for me to be able to get some sleep

Jacki, I hope you continue to feel better, and Lifeline the same thing goes for you and DD; just rest up as much as you can, while trying to increase you energy levels, so that you don't get completely exhausted, so quickly!

Goodnight everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful day!🥱😫😴 xoxoxo

Had a lovely walk this morning. Started off with drizzle, then sunshine and finished with wind and horizontal rain! A mix of terrain to from proper tracks to fording streams and a lot of mud. All great fun and we walked about 8 miles.

Sorry it is bothering you. Hope it passes quickly. Mr. Wonderful had absolutely no issues with his injection. I was not so lucky, but it is worth it as you well know.

About 4 inches with more coming today!

Milwaukee got 17 inches. The sun is shining now and I hope that means we will not be getting any more for a few days.

Well the roof men haven been. I rang them at 1.45pm to see where they were and they said they wouldn't get today, they are busy! Not a lot I can say to that. He's promised this week now. And so it goes on. I've been tired this morning and had a couple of sleeps. I seem to be doing that a lot.

I e got no more news, so I'll catch up. Love yawl. Xxx

Are you still taking your iron pills? Do you get blood tests to see if the level is up to normal?
I would be spitting nickels if the roofers had not showed up as promised. Certainly hope they show up this week.
