Ok. Here are 3 projects I've been working on. The first is the Nightshift shawl. It's not blocked, but you can see what it looks like. The colors are off a bit, so not exactly how it looks. The other two are year long projects finished through March clues. The first is a Japanese sampler for this year. The second is a year of international lace. This project is working from both ends, so we have January (border pattern) and February and December (border for the other end) and November (photo is upside down 😏). Again the colors are not accurate.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:36 am EDT and 5'C (41'F). It rained all night, which was forecast, and we had several hours of thunderstorms, which was not forecast. Lots of light and noise and sometimes heavy rain, but no wind. We may get to record breaking warm temperatures.
The province released their budget. It had lots of money for pandemic costs. One surprise is that it makes online learning a permanent option starting this fall. Teachers unions are a little concerned because the provincial TV station is involved. The provincial TV station has made lots of entertaining educational shows, so I'm not surprised. And if they could do part of the online education on TV, everyone has a TV. I'm not surprised at the move to online. It's like my employer agreeing to some of us working from home permanently. Less or smaller schools would need to be built and less teachers would be needed.
Our new covid number is 1577 with 10 deaths. Positivity rate is 5.8% We have one new case in this area. Several more schools in Toronto are closed and teachers are in short supply. Hair salons and barbers are appealing to the premier to let them open up despite the pandemic. They promise to work safely. (!)
This province vaccinated 70K people. This area vaccinated 348 people yesterday. Our vaccine supply is again under threat as the countries where our vaccines are produced are pulling back the supply for internal use. The lab in Calgary that will be producing supplies for the vaccine is still saying September. The military is going to start vaccinating their people starting next week and over the next 3 months.
Mum got her vaccination yesterday. Mum said the Community Centre was well run. She had a volunteer escort who made sure she made it to the right people and right seat, and the right door when she left. Most of the almost 50 people at the centre are volunteers, only the nurses who actually give the shots are paid. Mum said 12 seats were set up and two nurses went up the 2 rows and gave the shots to the people waiting in the seats. There were stations between the seats where the nurses washed their hands and got new gloves and needles. Mum said it was very quick and she barely felt anything. My mum has the constitution of a horse and had no after effects.
I finally got most of my work caught up yesterday. I left a lot of things for my co-workers and they still had not been picked up by the end of the day. That is the boss' problem.
My cotton tee shirt is going well. I may cut the white colour early as I want some white for the neck and sleeve edging.

I forgot to say. I got distracted yesterday when I came out to the kitchen to get a cup of tea. We had squirrel wars in the back yard. I lost count after 18. I swear every squirrel in the subdivision was in our back yard, the neighbour's yard and the park. They were chasing each other all over the ground and up in the big trees in the back and the neighbour's tree. They were squeaking and squealing at each other. They were so intent on chasing each other that they were falling off the branches. After about 15 minutes most of them had moved off to the park. Maybe the fight continued there, but I can only see a small part of the park from my house. We had guard squirrels perched in the trees for a while.
We also discovered we have 3 "tippy" squirrels with white tips on their tails. They are all in our yard, so I think they are all related. One of the tippy's is running through the yard checking the feeders right now.
