Wow, I haven't been on for a while now, so it is a treat to return and see these beautiful images with such amazing colors. Like them all, Joe, but #s 2, 5 and 8 I find particularly appealing.

Hi John, welcome back, I did miss you and wondered whether anything was wrong, so I am very pleased to see you posting again. Almost sent you a PM to make sure you are ok. Thank you for your nice comment. You might want to have a look back at the earlier posts, or even the newer ones, you can easily do it with the link I indicated in the intro. Welcome back and good to see you aboard again! Joe

Thank you for your kind comments, Joe. Used to be that I would get daily notification of the digest. Had a couple of emails go to my junk file instead when I deleted them which got me blacklisted. The first time I was reinstated after 3 days, but not the second time. Therefore I google UHH whenever I want to join. At times I get busy with other things and without a daily reminder, I don't get back on for some time.
I will check out your other posts. Take care.

Sorry, I don't quite understand this black-listing part, but am sure glad to see you around again. I find the daily reminders helpful also, particularly when I am not posting, otherwise I might forget to check in. Got to figure that out, I don't want to take the risk to get black-listed inadvertently. Take care and thanks for looking, Joe

Joe, another very impressive series. Particularly like the Chilhuly Garden images. I'm a BIG FAN of Dale Chihuly and am always interested in seeing his works. Have you ever seen Dale himself. He cuts quite an image, particularly in his younger years. He was the embodiment of a pirate; wild red hair, eye patch and clothing brighter than his glassworks. There's literally no one like him practicing today. Any more of Chihuly on your website?

Thank you Reuss, happy to hear that you like this series and especially the two Dale Chihuly pieces. I love his stuff also and no, I have not seen Dale Chihuley himself. I know there is supposed to be a museum of his down in Tacoma, still have in mind one day to make a trip down there to see it, when we can travel and enter museums again. I have a few pictures of his items. The first time I saw one of his works (or at least I assume it was one of his works) was in 2012 in London. You can see it on my website in the first reference below. for all of these references, go to my website www.weberwest.weebly.com and click on the CHRONOLOGICAL Tab on top.

2012 Sep European Trilogy 1 / West: London/Paris/Switzerland Short Link
#330 pretty much towards the bottom, just before the pictures switch to Paris
A series of lamp posts in Westminster/downtown London were festooned with these yellow and orange
decorations, I had no idea what it was, later figured out that it must be a Chihuley - or am I wrong?

2019 All 2019 Trips - Interim Selection
# 545, 566, 671 soon after the Greek sunsets and before Spain (these albums are just partial, not structured)
There was a temporary Chihuley exhibition at Kew Gardens, both outside and inside - I showed #671 in my ongoing series, post #3, there will be much more coming once I get to working on and posting the 2019 albums, but this will be a couple of years down the road.

2018 All 2018 Trips - Interim Selection
Besides the 2 frames I posted in this set here, I have another dozen or so of frames from the Chihuley museum in Seattle, some of them are similar shots that I was evaluating for putting into the calendar. In due course, when I get to working on the 2018 albums, there will be plenty more.

I hope this helps you to see a wider selection of your favorite master - sorry I am so slow on working on this stuff, but I will get to it eventually.

Joe, I checked out the images you referenced. If that first one is not a Chihuly, he should be suing whoever produced it. It's a classic. The other images are classic as well. I first saw his work about 20 years ago at a showing of his works at the Akron Art Museum. Never saw anything like it and fell in love at that point. The University of Akron, Polymer Science Bldg has commissioned a large piece that is permanently mounted in front. It's made of transparent polyurethane that they developed just him and his works so they would be more durable and weather resistant. Lucky me, it's about 10 minutes from my house. See attached pictures.

Regarding your comments about your slow progress on keeping up your website. We're amateur photographers. If we were professional photographers with a business to manage, we'd have to keep up with all demands of the business, whether we like them or not. But we're amateurs so that means that we get to do the fun stuff (differs for each of us) and the not-so-fun stuff, well, we'll get to that when we get to that.

Thank you Reuss for the update - I like the way that piece you showed is set up with the attractive base. Now I can get an idea how Dale looks like. Thanks again. Joe

What a diverse group of wonderful images from different parts of this world!
I usually try to find one image to comment about specifically but I really enjoyed them all!
Of course Mt. Rainier is always going to be a frontrunner, for me. This image is as good as any I've seen of this Washington gem!
