Cindy , you live in a wonderful place and I so enjoy your images. Do you guys carry guns for protection against large preditors when you are so far out there?
Good morning Blair! Glad you enjoyed the series and I agree....we do live in a beautiful spot. We both carry bear spray with us all the time and sometimes the pistols as well. Only had to pull them once....hopefully never again!

Very nice series!! We woke up to 4 inches this morning.
I saw that on the news this morning....we are supposed to get hit again this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

Wonderful photos. At least you have seasons. Where we are we hardly have winter and snow is a never seen event. We get so excited that EVERYTHING shuts down and things get UGLY. Where you are it is so pretty. Thanks for letting us see how beautiful.
Thanks....I do love the changing of the seasons, by the time one is almost over...you are ready for a change. Winter means snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hunting season, ice fishing - Spring means horn hunting, hiking, horseback riding, fishing - Summer means floating the rivers, fishing and hiking/horseback riding the high country - Fall means more horseback riding, scouting for new hunting area's, fishing...and photo ops are endless!

Great images and back story. The last one is my favourite. We can get our weather forecast from the retail stores - they are already putting out their Christmas fare! Who needs a meteorologist these days??? Stay well and please keep on sharing.
Thanks! And I agree....the stores here are starting to put out xmas stuff already! The saying here goes "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes...it will change!"

I was raised in the Lake Effect zone of Northern Indiana but have been out here on the left coast for the last fifty years or so. I still miss the change of seasons. I would have a new appreciation for the cycle of life if I were to move back there today.
Your shots make me a little nostalgic. Good job!
Glad I could bring back some memories for ya! I have family that live in Erie PA...and they get the lake effect snow all the time....one cousin could have 10 inches while the other has none and they only live a few blocks away from each other. That just amazes me!

Your third and last one represents the Good Snow days. Beautiful shots.
Thanks! It does make for a beautiful day when you have the blue sky, sunshine and snow glistening!
What's sad about wolf and bear tracks? The fact they are there means the elk and deer are there too.
