Yes that nasty word...."Snow"....it has arrived! So might as well get out and enjoy it so to speak. We took the horses out for a few rides this past week and got all the weather Mother Nature throws our way....rain, snow, wind and sunshine...and enjoyed every minute of it!

Went and checked out a hunting area that we haven't been to in about 3 yrs......no deer or elk to be found but lot's of wolf and bear tracks...so sad!

Cindy , you live in a wonderful place and I so enjoy your images. Do you guys carry guns for protection against large preditors when you are so far out there?

Wonderful photos. At least you have seasons. Where we are we hardly have winter and snow is a never seen event. We get so excited that EVERYTHING shuts down and things get UGLY. Where you are it is so pretty. Thanks for letting us see how beautiful.

Great images and back story. The last one is my favourite. We can get our weather forecast from the retail stores - they are already putting out their Christmas fare! Who needs a meteorologist these days??? Stay well and please keep on sharing.

I was raised in the Lake Effect zone of Northern Indiana but have been out here on the left coast for the last fifty years or so. I still miss the change of seasons. I would have a new appreciation for the cycle of life if I were to move back there today.

Your shots make me a little nostalgic. Good job!

Very nice shots Cindy. My sister lives in Northern Michigan where they get more than their share of snow but we hardly get any where I live and I'm hoping for some this Winter. I had a very nice snow thrower that I gave away because it was only taking up room. I bought it when I lived in the Chicago area.

Glad you enjoyed the shots J! Now that you have away your snow thrower.....you will probably need it this year

Great images!!!! Cindy
I don't mind the snow, it's the idiots that don't know how to drive in it that bothers me, but I'M retired now and don't have to contend the "No driving S.O.B.s" ( my pet name for them). And a plus I now live farther away from St.Louis.

Thanks! I know what you mean...we get a lot of tourists here in the winter and man...it sometimes makes your blood boil dealing with them....but I am also retired...and it's GREAT to be able to look outside and say "Nope" not going out there!

Great set. Love the exposure and windshield icing bands in #1 photo, really creates a sense of being there.

Thanks Joe...it was that wet heavy snow that balls up on the wipers, kept having to stick your hand out the window and snap the wipers to get it off.
