Nothing much has changed for me with the exception of shopping during 6-7am during Walmart's Tuesday morning old folks hour. Bombay Hook is just a hop, skip, and a jump from there. I guess the difference is I get there a little after sunrise instead of a little before.

The NWR's and State Parks (except state beaches) are open. They have even waived entrance fees. Social distancing is the only requirement to date. Much of our local media is misrepresenting the Stay at Home order, missing the part where it says outdoor activity is essential and that even includes fishing.

I still spend a lot of time woodworking and now landscape work between the rainy days.

Exactly right, Bill! They have closed all of our wildlife parks including the ones that the majority don't even get out of their car!! Sally and I were in our golf cart on the deserted Golf Course and the management said that we couldn't be there even to take photos of the Sandhill Cranes (I got some good ones anyhoo)

Thanks - there is no toilet paper or grocery problems, the staff are great, and she is slowly gaining the ability to be mobile.

I will admit it, I am a high-risk individual for exposure, so we have been closeted for now 16 days with no end in sight.

So, that being said, to keep myself sane I have been following the Cats with my Nikon (they run when they hear the focus motor), shooting sunsets and sunrises in Los Angeles and time-lapses with a DJI ActionCam.

What have all of you been doing to keep your sanity intact?

At age 72, with several conditions controlled by medication, I am also a 'high risk' individual for exposure.
My state's "stay at home" directive allows me to take walks, so my routine includes taking walks, and watching TV news, as well as being entertained by our cats.

Sorry to hear about her issue, but good to hear that she is making some head way.
Hang in there Richard!

Despite that fact that I am an old man with a gray beard that still THINKS he is still a kid and virtually indestructible, I too am following the directives of the Governments of both Canada and the United States (dual citizen) and most of all, my boss/chief operating officer/commander and drill instructor- divisional Sargent-Major- my wife! I thought things were busy, fast-paced, and time-intensive at our studio business until we decided to hunker down and address all the things we were procrastinating on- paperwork, cleaning, re-organizing stuff, throwing out the junk, etc. Besides, we live in 6 unit apartment buildings and sorta take care of the place so I've been swabbing the decks in the hallways with disinfectant, putting out the garbage, and swabbing down the mailboxes, banisters, doorbell buttons, the intercom, and all the doorknobs and handles with wipes that smell like "instant hospital"! I go to the grocery store at some ungodly hour to avoid crowds. I don't think I have sat down for more than 10 minutes in the last 10 days. And a few days ago was photograph the cat day. We are giving the cat a narcissist complex!

Thanks. Although there is no photography within the ward I managed to get this one near the hospital, yesterday.
The hospital is also a good location for modern architectural photography so I will see what I can do.

I too am a "High Risk" 69 year old Heart & Diabetes Photographer from Michigan, although presently "Stuck" at my Daughter's house in New Smyrna Beach Florida. Not sure when I should attempt to return to Michigan, this Virus sounds like it may be around awhile, just hoping it stays away from my family. Stay in the house 90% of the time, drove my daughter to store a couple of times, but did not get out of the car. My Photography is presently at "Zero", which is very dissapointing indeed. But they say Michigan might be "Dangerous" to return to, but I do not think anywhere is ideal right now.
Just hope you all here at UHH and your families stay safe and healthy.

I have a large yard with bird feeders, birds, squirrels, two little dogs in and out of the rec room with me, 3 cats in the house so lots of stuff to photograph then edit - opps almost forgot under the pattern for an airfield with a warbird museum and a small airport so planes to watch and every so often one worth photographing. Books to read, cable TV, radio -I have been retired a while and am used to this now. But I really wish my wife (retired RN) would let me out besides medical appointments. I really need to make a run for bird feed. The brand/variety my birds like best is not on the on-line delivery list for anyone I know - it either comes from Costco for $6.50 a 20 lb bag or the bird store for almost $20 a 20 lb bag.

If I do get bored I can get the 20' antenna out of the garage and strap it to the corner of the rec room and fire up my CB and Ham radios. But I would have to be desperate for that - I can only take so much of "I just put a new fritz bug on the flimflam and tuned it to my 10 meter do-hickey - hows she sounding out there?" I mean, couldn't they at least talk about the weather? Before someone asks why I have the radios if I don't like what I hear = I used to be in a REACT unit and monitored the emergency frequencies for CB but they almost all use their cell phones to call for help now. I got my Ham license through CERT but they haven't been called on to do anything. And my other use for the Ham radio is railroad frequencies for the Railway Museum Operations Department I belong to - But the museum is closed until...
