My wife decided that one thing we could do during this enforced time "taking shelter at home" was to paint the kitchen. After a trip by her to purchase the paint, we started doing a bit each day. My job this afternoon was to paint a window {takes much more time than it seems it ought to}, so we shut the two cats in our bedroom while painting. I had left the ladder in place, so once we freed the cats, Annie {the younger one} just had to inspect my work {I admit I had a camera and flash close at hand just in case she did do that}.

Good catch. I think I would have moved the ladder away from the window.

I have to admit I wanted the arrangement to stay attractive to her.

Thank you.

Annie is only six months old; she joined us after 16-year-old Velcro died in early January. We aren’t used to a kitten any more because all-black Leila is now nine years old, so Annie is like a breath of fresh air.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is so hard when they have to leave us. Enjoy the kitten time...they grow much too quickly. I brought home 3 kittens a couple of years ago and thought I had lost my mind but looking back I miss those tiny little guys exploring and learning how things work. They are now all grown up and still trouble makers. I can't imagine my life with out cats.

Take care!!

In order for us to paint without having the cat dishes {and cats} under-foot, we moved the cat dishes from the kitchen to under the coffee table in the LivingRoom. In turns out that they will eat almost anywhere - but we still have to shut them up in the BedRoom in order to keep their from being under-foot while we paint - apparently the painting process is interesting, and how can tell whether paint is edible unless they try it?
