...but not very pretty. Oh the goodies one can find in the Mobile River delta! I first thought the snake had something sticking out of his head, but after a closer look... Canon 100-400 leaning over the boardwalk rail. Please try the downloads. I promise the critters won't getcha!

Donna, excellent set of photos. The DDL on the first one shows what the surprise is on the snakes nose.

Wow, they're both great shots, but the snake really shows action plus habitat. Bev

Love #1 Donna. No I didn't notice all the little critters until you pointed them out. A regular zoo.

Well, Donna, they "got me". But in a good way. You "got me" to take a good look at them.
Beautifully done.

I'm glad they gotcha, Tom, and I'm glad you enjoyed what you saw! Even though the snake has no venom, I've read they have nasty tempers and can repeatedly deliver painful bites, so I'm glad I was a few feet above that pair of neighbors. Thanks so much, Tom!

Glad you enjoyed these, Val, and I hoped you would, because we seem to enjoy many of the same things! Thanks so much, my friend!

Thanks so much, Greg, and thanks for trying out the download! I had no idea the snake had a visitor until I saw it on my screen. I thought it had something sticking out of its head.

Thank you so much, Bev! I'm glad you enjoyed these, and you're so right about leaving the gator out when mentioning action. This gator stayed perfectly still for hours.
