Occasionally I have to meds delivered to me with a signature required. I always ask for UPS delivery because the time of delivery is always about the same. FedEx on the other hand forces me to wait around the whole day for delivery. However a few weeks ago I purchased a camera from B&H and it came via FedEx signature required. Whenever I have the option I request UPS.

You can set up your account with UPS/Fed Ex for no signature required. But for expensive stuff, I’d demand a signature.

Not a bash. I and many, many others have NEVER had an issue with B&H or FEDEX. The OP is laying a LOT of blame on B&H. Which is UNFAIR. The OP is frustrated no doubt. But you take care of the problem YOURSELF.
There is no need to ALERT OTHERS, OTHERS are not having an issue, just the OP. Their is no issue with FEDEX, just the OP's lack of being able to take care of issues HIMSELF/HERSELF.
What, you expect others on this site to solve his problem for him. That's a biggie issue than the missive contained in the original post.
So, your involved now, YOU TAKE CARE OR IT FOR HIM. Otherwise, BUTT OUT.
Not a bash. I and many, many others have NEVER had... (show quote)

You know NOTHING more about the facts of who screwed up (B&H or FedEx) than anyone, and no one will respond to your irrational call to BUTT OUT. Get a life would you , get off your "holier than though" platform (lol), and let the rest of us offer constructive advice to the OP, not more finger pointing at him.

Now I know smoking is bad for us all. This is a proven fact. My question is. How does a cigarette hanging out of the drivers mouth have anything to do with his or her ability to carry a package to a door. Now if a beer was in hand or driver stinks like alcohol that a problem. Last I checked smoking tabacco is still legal and a bad habit but it is not a morality issue. 🤔

(Assuming that it shows up), I will be satisfied with the resolution. When it arrives, I will post a response with my feelings about B&H's customer service.

Well, the camera showed up, but not the filter I ordered with it, or the spare battery.
While on the phone re-ordering,(tuesday) the rep I talked to said the money for the square trade warranty was refunded, as of 7:30 last night (wed) my pay pal account showed no refund.
As of this morning I have received no notice that the filter and spare battery have been shipped
Sent another E-mail to henry Posner last night, waiting for his reply

They're in a different order which should be shipped this afternoon. We appreciate your patience.

Well good morning - I have the same complaint as the OP. I had a package sent to an address and wasn't home when it was delivered. The FEDEX folks left it on the front porch. If I hadn't come home early, It would have been setting there for several days exposed to the local package thief(s) and the weather(which has been raining for several days straight). I believe B & H has to have a VERY SERIOUS discussing with FEDEX and their delivery policy.

Create an account with Fed Ex. You can control delivery. I also have with UPS. Even arranged to hold for pick up at the shipping center which was more convenient for that day.

It’s not on B&H or anyone else regardng your where-abouts on delivery day. You do own that one.

You're blaming FedEx and B&H because you weren't home when the package arrived and it's sat there on your porch open to the weather until you arrived home? Perhaps you live in an area where people steal packages left at your front door, but many of us do not. And it's certainly not FedEx's fault that you don't have a covered area to leave packages under when the weather is inclement, or that there are local thieves, or that you would not be returning home for several days. Perhaps you should make sure a signature is required before a package is left. Of course that can be very inconvenient if you're out at work all day and generally not home when packages are delivered. Perhaps you left something out, but it sounds like the delivery went well, and your personal situation and circumstances are the real issue. In what way should FedEx have done things differently?

Just in case anybody is still watching. I Finally got everything I ordered on monday, I know things happen sometimes, but I think this situation could have been handled better. Will I buy from B&H again? I honestly can't say yet

B&H is a reputable store, and I don't think you can put any blame actually on them except for their choice of carriers. FedEx took a bit longer to delivery something than expected. B&H always gives their buyers a tracking number for the shipment(s). You should have been able to find out about it. I think everyone involved - including yourself - carries a bit of the responsibility.

When you order from B&H again, have the package shipped to some business instead of to a residence, and make sure a signature is required.

I’ve bought B&H and Adorama for years. Never a worry. I’ve made sure of where I was and the delivery date always matched.

I'm sure a signature should have been required but they didn't
even come to the door.

Regardless of where anyone stands on varying degrees of
firearms legislation, all can agree: THAT needs attention !
