Sounds like a FEDEX problem. Don't like'm & never have. Fortunately my B&H purchases come thru UPS. Suggest you contest the charge with your CC company.

Not even god has fedex's phone number. Try doing a trace then print out proof of delivery. Another possibility is the information is incorrect and the package will show up in a day or 2.

Yes you can prove you didn't receive it. Unless FedEx in USA are different than other courier services, when a driver delivers a parcel, you have to sign for it and are asked your name. So you can ask B & H for a POD (proof of delivery)...then you can tell them the signature is not yours.

Finally decided to buy a new D750 from B&H, ordered on Thursday evening, was shipped in two packages was supposed to be delivered Monday, it wasn't . Tracking says one package containing the spare battery was delivered, it WASN'T. (at least not to me) Tracking also says the other package was refused. It wasn't by me. Furthermore, tracking says it was refused in Pittsburgh, my address is NOT Pittsburgh
I called B&H and they say they can do nothing until it gets back to them, IF it gets back to them. I cannot find a number for FedEx
B&H also says they will refund my card when the camera gets back to them, but what about the package they say is delivered, I know of no way I can prove I did not receive it.
I also reviewed my order on B&H,s web site and the address IS correct
Finally decided to buy a new D750 from B&H, or... (show quote)

Threads never get closed on UHH. You can find one from years ago and post to it. It will go right to the top of the list. Just like your post brought this to the top of the list.

As already mentioned, if you don't like it leave it alone. No body will mind.

BTW - I had DHL misplace an order from B&H last October. DHL was supposed to hand it off to our local post office, but it never got there. After hitting 3 locations the tracking just ended. What a hassle! I emailed B&H who responded right away and told me they would look into it. The next morning they emailed me again and said the claim was approved. They replaced the order and I had my item in a few days. Whew, really exhausting.

You are mistaken.

It's a bit more difficult to do these days but it's still possible to reach B&H's executive level to place a formal (respecful/non-rant) complaint.

It's not a bit more difficult, as this thread alone demonstrates.

I wonder how many shipments leave B&H each day. I wonder how many work perfectly.

Although I wish that I had purchased "PLENTY" of photography and videography tools and toys, I have to say between my wife and I it has been "MANY". And for us the "99.999" part is correct.

On this and other topics where B&H service has been discussed, I've taken their side! Why? There version of service can and does go beyond just shipping.

The first time was when I bought one of the very first Sony RX100s for a long trip. I realized I would be out of the country and would go beyond the guaranteed satifaction return time. On a phone call, it was extended to two weeks from my return date. (I kept the marvelous camera.)

The second time I was having a Panasonic LX100 battery slowly discharge, but intermittently. I was explaining to the B&H rep that I could probably figure it out and I might be imaging things. The rep raised his voice (a little) and insisted he exchange the camera. He explained how it was his job to make sure I got one that worked right. (Another marvelous camera.)

The third time, my wife bought a Panasonic ZS30 as a gift for out son. The price dropped for a holiday promotion. On an email, they refunded the difference.

The fourth time was when I upgraded a Panasonic GX7 to a GX8 and 100-300 to a 100-400. The "old" gear was sitting on the shelf. I emailed B&H and they replied with what they would pay after they saw it. When they did, they bumped the amount up a little because it was in good condition. They didn't have to do that after we had agreed on a probable amount.

In a perfect world, I would have a local camera store. There is one I can get to with 2.5 hours of driving in heavy traffic. It has nowhere near the selection that B&H does. B&H has learned to be the "local" store for many of us. I support that! Will something I buy get lost in shipping some day? Probably. When it happens, I'll email them and write, "Something went wrong, how do we work it out?" I won't try to punish them by launching a degrading topic on social media.

I purchased a Nikon d7200 that was delivered to my house last week from B&H through FedEX. We had to have someone here the day it was delivered because someone had to sign for the package. If you package had to be signed for they would not just leave it at the front door.

In addition, I received several emails concerning the order, its where abouts and tracking information.

I also put it on a American Express card because of points, it is much easier to cancel and AmEx has a pretty good insurance policy.

I don't suppose anyone is doubting the integrity of B&H. They have invested a lot to make it so. Including money.

FedEx, on the other hand is largely sub-contracted to private citizens that agree to the terms of the contract. The contractor attempts to deliver the packages as promised. Because in every state there may be as many as dozens of different contractors, FedEx does not hire or directly pay the employees of the contractor.

At UPS, everyone works for UPS. At the Post Office, everyone works for USPS. At FedEx, the person may be on parole, living at a halfway house, fresh out of rehab, or a homeless that took a shower and got a job. Not that any of these people are inherently dangerous or risky, but FedEx has no idea who they are or where they come from.

UPS is not just better because they charge more. UPS has control over who gets hired.

B&H gave FedEx a chance to prove themselves. When FedEx learns how to do this, they can be a contender for reliability.

One episode I really enjoyed was I had questions on a kinda complicated purchase.

I called B&H and they transferred my call to the expert on the floor. He answered all my questions and put my order together for me with the components I needed as we spoke. Gave him my biz credit card number.

Done!

An organization who will take the time and effort on a call like mine and walk me through what they did gets my business.

Next will be a couple 2 or 3 Broncolor Paras and maybe a Scoro and/or Move pack. No dealer or rental near me at all. Gotta speak with them again to get the entire order right when the time comes. No way I wanna discover I missed something necessary. Not at those prices.

Occasionally I have to meds delivered to me with a signature required. I always ask for UPS delivery because the time of delivery is always about the same. FedEx on the other hand forces me to wait around the whole day for delivery. However a few weeks ago I purchased a camera from B&H and it came via FedEx signature required. Whenever I have the option I request UPS.
