Something I've wanted, and needed, for years: a new right hip! Yes, it was an early present by a week, but still counts, doesn't it?ππ€π
Good for you! My wife has had to have both done in the last decade. The technology has improved remarkably. You should be feeling much improved very soon.
Santa brokered a secure connection for an hour long phone call from my deployed grandson. Been gone for six months. There isnβt a better gift in the universe than this. Happy Holidays everyone.

Thanks! Yes, amazing what can done as a routine these days. Work done late morning, up and walking by late afternoon. Then home the next day. Steady progress since. HAPPY!!!

I'll start. Opened first box and low and behold a Canon 1DX Mark ll and an EOS 24-70/2.8 ll. I was sooooo excited I didn't bother to open the others. Rushed outside to take a few shots and discovered that my photos are still crappy. But now I look like a pro.
ole mikey sir, nothing more! Great, just great. No camera gear necessary got plenty. Just a good ole heartfelt Christmas Celebration. I've dropped the "Merry" albeit traditional. Ours goes may we wish y'all a Cheerful Christmas. Thanks guy.

A day of complete rest/laziness and sleeping late after cooking all day on Christmas Eve (and several days of prep and house cleaning) for a family gathering of 20+ people.

A month back, I was asked to make a "want list" Santa could look over. So I made one of common things I used and needed.
I enjoy doing for others and know how difficult this time of year is for loved ones but was very surprised when I found a Sandisk 128 Extreme Pro memory card along with other important things like pencils and small pads of paper to keep in my pocket while on a shoot.
There's no such thing as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Although there was a "Saint Nicholas" (https://www.stnicholascenter.org/pages/who-is-st-nicholas/) I'd be very happy if I got a lump of coal as this was valued during that time of celebration. So stop spreading lies about these things and give kids false hope for things they may never get. Hard work and determination are the only keys to being able to get the things you want. But clearly, when one's values are not set so high, one is happy with not getting anything at all. Instead giving and knowing what & why we celebrate this time of year is more important than fake idols.
