My Best Friend gave me a Go-Pro. I haven't read the instructions yet, but he thought it might be useful for my planned trip to Africa next September. (I agree.)

My daughter gave me a camera sensor magnifier to find those pesky dust specs the leave spots.

I'll start. Opened first box and low and behold a Canon 1DX Mark ll and an EOS 24-70/2.8 ll. I was sooooo excited I didn't bother to open the others. Rushed outside to take a few shots and discovered that my photos are still crappy. But now I look like a pro.

Didn't receive gifts but cards from family and friends which at this point in life is plenty.
Also made a nice donation to help those less fortunate than myself (Used my camera/lens savings) figuring they needed it more than I needed a new self serving toy. Then went to my wife's mother's home and invited some of her friends for a meal that my wife (a chef) made for them as they all had lost a spouse and children were too far away/busy to visit so they all have a nice meal and fun talking and gossipping about the past year.
It was very relaxing for me and enjoyable.
That is what Santa brought to me, peace on earth for a few hours.

Lots of love. Good feelings and a wonderful Shrimp Scampi Christmas Dinner. Nothing else matters no matter how costly!

Good Morning Hoggers or Good Evening. I guessed you all figured out that I was a being a smartypants about the Canon equipment. Thanks for the funny replies. Humor is the best medicine. Good scotch is a close second.
I got a Fitbit and having a problem setting it up. Their site is a bit quirky or possibly the staff is drunk from too much spiked eggnog.
Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and yours.

Santa β€œme” brought me a Nikon D500 Camera and a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens. I’ve taken a few photos, but cannot wait for weather to get above freezing so I can get out to play.

Santa brokered a secure connection for an hour long phone call from my deployed grandson. Been gone for six months. There isn’t a better gift in the universe than this. Happy Holidays everyone.

Something I've wanted, and needed, for years: a new right hip! Yes, it was an early present by a week, but still counts, doesn't it?πŸ‘πŸ€“πŸ‘

4 flash drives, 3 RC cars, 2 SD cards, and a 4 terabyte hard drive... oh, wait! That's what I GAVE to family members, I got a broken set of bluetooth headphones (fresh out of the box, only one side worked!) True story, but Christmas was a wonderful celebration, morning after? tired but satisfied; the family is all friendly, happy, healthy, and safe, for what more could I ask?

I got enough coal in my stockings so that I won't have to burn corn cobs and shucks to stay warm until next Fall!
