Your images have an extension.
Make sure that on your import software that you have enabled the file type of your images. I've had occasion where the file extension of my images was not enabled on my import software and the result was exactly what you are experiencing, an error message saying Images Not Found. Just a thought.

I was reading issues with photos and winodws 10 has a lot of problems. I have windows 10 and never had the problem before.

Windows Everything has problems. Microsoft has been at it since 1981 and they're still struggling with the simple concepts of workability and reliability.

Try downloading this utility program called "Everything". Has a plain looking interface, takes up minimal memory but boy it can really sniff out the files you're looking for. Good luck.

Ya, sorta, see in the file ... either by link to camera.. or in reader [some times a problem with mine.. why?] use control A to select all control C to copy and control V to paste in a file folder you have made on your desk top. At times computers get finicky recognizing "just plugged in" USB items.

Cheat.... try it on "someoneelse's" [compound word, like the Germans do!] computer.... It is a common problem... also try rebooting with the card in the reader. The computer will see it and call it USB storage. [hopefully]

Hay, lock the card so that the photos can not be zapped.

Those commands are Mac syntax. She has Windows 10.

Interesting, these work in Windows 7:
"use control A to select all control C to copy and control V to paste"

Thank you for all the suggestions and patience. I'm going see what I can do and get this done. If nothing works I'll check with photo company or so. Done who can retrieve info.

Sorry. My bad. It's been a long time since I struggled with a PC. Gave up on them in 2006 when Apple changed to Intel processors.
I think her problem is that her software just isn't looking for Canon raw files.

If you have a local - or not so local - camera store, I bet they could put the pictures onto a CD/DVD for you.

I've Used a Card Reader Several Times on a Computer & I've had no Problems with it, that's the Best Way that was Recommended to Me, Cause Sometimes the Memory Card & Type of Computer & it's Slot for Cards May Not be up to Par

Sammie,
You may want to try this. Download FastStone. It sees both JPEG & RAW. Windows does too, but you seem to be having difficulty. If your card is inserted to reader, computer slot or camera, FastStone will see it. You'll see the folder in the left hand side of FastStone - It looks like File Explorer. Hang in there and have another glass of wine. The solution is nearby!!
