It Is But software didn't download correctly. Once I reloaded I put card in camera connected too computer and all was good! Thanks for your suggestions.

Software DL correctly, what? You mean Windows installing a driver to read via a usb to camera cable the first time it is used (this is not a raw / jpg compatibility issue)? I suggested cabling the Camera to the PC many pages back, as did others. Glad you got it working finally.

Yep you did. I've always downloaded my photos by connecting camera to computer. That's what I did. The software from Canon did not download correctly so it wasn't reading the raw images. I downloaded again and it worked. Thank goodness.

Are you looking in the right folder on the card? If you use Windows Explorer to view all your files, you can find the drive for the card. Expand that and keep expanding folders till you are st the lowest level. Your photos will be there

Hi Sammie -- Boy, does that sound familiar! I had exactly the same problem just recently when I visited with my family for a week and took lots of photos. I knew I had some good ones because I could see them via playback in the camera. BUT when I tried to enter them into the computer, I got the same alert that you did. I had never ever had that problem before but I knew that it had to do with the fact that I had just bought a new computer and it probably had to do with the UI (User Interface) on the new computer. I had gotten the same advice from others as you did--card reader bad, etc. I have several card readers and so I tried them all--AND GOT THE SAME MESSAGE! But I knew that they were still in my camera because I could see them when I put the memory card back in the camera. Because I had so many problems with the new computer (reloading programs, etc.) I knew it was because the new computer wasn't recognizing anything plugged in on the USB drive. I swallowed hard and paid a techie to give me a hand. I now have the pix in my computer but the techie guy had done everything so fast that I can't remember what he did! I think he had to go to Settings, or something like that. (Maybe File Explorer?) I'll know when I try to upload my next pix. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help but DON'T DESPAIR! Just put that memory card aside until you can find the solution. It's do-able. If you have a techie friend, have him/her come over and when you solve the problem you can each have a glass of wine--because you're happy, not because you're frustrated. Good luck! -- Jackie

Well I just got back from my Alaska trip and I'm panicking. I'm trying to download my photos from the memory card to my pc. I keep getting error message "no photos found". When I put the card in the camera the pictures show up. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Make sure the sliding tab on the card is in the up position. If the card is locked, maybe the computer can't see the files.

Sammie has responded several times now that she solved the problem by reinstalling software, so that everything is working fine now.

The T7i may be able to transfer image files wirelessly directly to your computer.

I'm not sure the shots are lost. When I put the card in the camera and I check them their all there. I'm hoping it's something simple. I think I need to take a break on this for the evening. Thanks for your comments.

I've had the same issue with my trail cams. I can view photos with my laptop or desktop but I can't view them on my camera. Also I can't view camera cards on the trail cam. Fishy

The only thing I can figure is the software to read in raw. I have it fixed now. I checked software and reloaded..

If u can , plug your camera into the computer, in your computer the little box on the bottom left of the screen , type C: and enter, a directory comes up,
( make sure your camera is plugged into the computer) now look for your camera brand/ name etc, in the left side directory . If you see it,
click it, then you should see your pix, now just highlight them and right click the mouse and select COPY ( not MOVE) and copy them to your computer...
then go into the computer and look for them.
